LEGAL EXPERIENCE:

Clinical option module Selected as one of thirty students to take this module, which
allows students full conduct of cases on behalf of clients. Experience gained
included interviewing clients, legal research, drafting, preparing witness statements
and successfully representing a client in an unfair dismissal case at an Employment
Tribunal
Receptionist. Joined the Clinic in first year in this role, handling initial legal
enquiries from clients, by phone and in person; assisting in casework preparation,
drafting of legal forms and documents and general administrative tasks

4 Scissors Buildings, Temple, September 2011 Read and discussed case papers,
attended court and conducted legal research in employment and family law
Marshalling

Two days marshalling in Canterbury Crown and County Court with four judges,
including two District Judges
Heard cases relating to family and criminal law; attended case management
conferences and discussed cases with the judges

Mooting

Worked in a team of four students to present an environmental law case in the Court
of Appeal during the Kent Law School Mooting Competition. Our team was the
overall winner and I was awarded the Moot Prize as Advocate of the Moot
Inner Temple
Completed two qualifying sessions by dining in Hall and networking with barristers
Worked under pressure to provide excellent customer service to clients from many
different countries.
