LABORATORY EXPERIMENT
I.
OBJECTIVES
This experiment aims to know the effect of different fluid intake and
to measure how much is absorbed depending on the condition
given.
II.
PROCEDURE
Materials:
Water
0.9% NaCl soltution or (5 pieces champoy)
Procedure:
On treatment A ( Water Only)
1. Empty gallbladder
2. Drink water (1% of the subjects body weight)
3. Measure urine every 20 minutes in 2 hours
On Treatment B (Water and Champoy)
1. Empty gallbladder
2. Eat 5 champoy, drink water( 1% of the subjects body weight)
3. Measure urine every 20 minutes in 2 hours
On Treatment C ( Water and exercise)
1. Empty gallbladder
2. Drink water (1% of the subjects body weight)
3. Exercise for 10 minutes
4. Measure urine every 20 minutes in 2 hours

The line graph presents the data of the excreted urine after the different
activities have been conducted in the span of 2 hours with 20 minutes
interval in each excretion. We can see that the lowest possible amount of
urine excreted was recorded in the person who did the water-saline solution
activity or 5 champoy in replacement to the NaCl. (Shown in red line). The
highest amount of urine was recorded in the person who took the water and
exercise activity(shown in green line) which originally must be the result in
the water-only activity.(shown in blue line)This is because the subject might
not be able to empty her bladder fully before conducting the experiment or
maybe she is suffering from kidney problem she is not aware of.

TREATMENT A
TREATMENT B
TREATMENT C
The bar graph shows the total volume of urine excreted by the participants
after doing the experiment. As explained earlier, the result of treatment C
ranked first with 419mL, treatment A in second with 340 mL and treatment B
in the last with 106 mL.

CONCLUSION
Based on our data analysis and obtained results, we therefore
conclude that the amount of urine that is excreted by a person is
relatively proportional to their body weight and the activity assigned
to them. In this case where three conditions are given, water only,
water-saline solution and water with exercise, the person who took
the water intake only must excrete the greatest amount of urine
because when a person consumes a large amount of water, the
kidneys reduce their reabsorption of water to allow excess water to
be released, producing a dilute watery urine. While the person who
did the water-exercise activity ,have the tendency to excrete a
