    CURTAINS PART, REVEALING:


    INT. HIGH SCHOOL -- CLASSROOM -- DAY
    A DARK CLASSROOM. Only three spots are lit: THE TEACHER,
    fast asleep at his desk. A WHITEBOARD, reading DETENTION.
    And TWO DESKS in the middle of the room. Seated at them are
    a GIRL IN BLUE and a GIRL IN PINK.
    They sit in silence at first, before PINK decides to speak.
    PINK
    I like your headband.
    Thanks!

    BLUE
    Yours is cute too.

    PINK
    Were like, twins!
    They chuckle.
    PINK (CONTD)
    Youre new here, right?
    BLUE
    Not really. I mean Ive lived
    around here like my whole life.
    Oh, where?

    PINK

    BLUE
    Oak Street?
    Me too!

    PINK

    BLUE
    No way, thats crazy!
    PINK
    My whole life, too.
    BLUE
    (shriek)
    Sisters!
    More chuckles.

    Pink notices stars all over Blues papers.

    PINK
    Wait -- are you drawing stars on
    your notebook?

    BLUE
    Yeah, I always do that when Im
    bored -BOTH
    (at once)
    Its a distraction that provides
    focus!
    Pink shows off her own notebook, covered in stars.
    BLUE
    Okay, we are just two peas.
    PINK
    You can say that again!
    BLUE
    Okay, we are just two peas.
    Laughs.

    Then, the two notice a guy walking in -Ugh.

    PINK
    Look who turned up.

    The guy leaves a note with the teacher, who momentarily wakes
    up. Then the guy leaves.
    BLUE
    Connor Flynn? Not a fan?
    PINK
    Of course not.
    BLUE
    Me neither. One time, at this
    party -PINK
    He tried to put your foot in his
    mouth? And when you said no, he
    asked if he could just -BLUE
    Draw faces on my toes with a
    Sharpie then smell them to get
    high?
    BOTH
    (at once)
    So lame!
    BLUE
    How much can we have in common!

    PINK
    We are literally the same person.
    BLUE
    We are like, one.
    They both get a text at once and check them.
    God.

    PINK

    BLUE
    Whats wrong?
    PINK
    My dad just being so overbearing.
    BLUE
    Ugh, mine too!
    PINK
    Yeah, its like everydays an
    interrogation with him.
    Truuu.

    BLUE

    PINK
    And hes like that with my mom,
    too. Shell just be like,
    Terry...
    Terry?

    BLUE

    PINK
    Yeah, thats my dads name.
    BLUE
    Thats my dads name, too!
    PINK
    Terry... Winfield?
    BLUE
    Thats him!
    PINK
    No freaking way.

    Me too!

    BLUE
    And your mom wouldnt happen to be
    Lisa-Ann, would it?

    PINK
    She totally is.
    BLUE
    And they met at -BOTH
    (at once)
    The Chicago World Fair in 89!
    BLUE
    Oh. My. Gosh. So the same guy.
    Got the same woman pregnant. And
    she gave birth to both of us.
    PINK
    Guess that makes us -Sisters!

    BLUE

    They laugh, hugging even. THE BELL RINGS. The teacher


    remains asleep. Pink gets up packing her things, Blue stays.
    PINK
    We should totally hang out more
    often.
    BLUE
    Um, Mr. Trebeck, Ill take Yes
    Please for 500!
    PINK
    I think were in jeopardy of
    becoming best friends.
    BLUE
    Sisters one minute, best friends
    the next.
    PINK
    (laughs)
    Bye-eee!
    Bye-eee.
    They head out.
    BLACK.
    ROLL CREDITS.
    END.
