The key takeaways are about the duties and responsibilities of a king in administering justice and governance according to ancient Hindu texts.

The 18 titles of lawsuits mentioned are nonpayment of debts, deposit and pledge, sale without ownership, concerns among partners, resumption of gifts, nonpayment of wages, nonperformance of agreements, rescission of sale and purchase, disputes between the owner of cattle and his servants, disputes regarding boundaries, assault and defamation, theft, robbery and violence, adultery, duties of man and wife, partition of inheritance, gambling and betting.

The duties of the different castes according to the text are for Brahmanas to teach and interpret the law, for Kshatriyas to rule and protect subjects, for Vaisyas to trade, lend money, cultivate land and tend cattle, and for Sudras to serve the three higher castes.
