Description

AMPHOSOL LB is a mild amphoteric surfactant derived from narrow cut methyl esters. This characteristic
gives the product enhanced foaming properties compared to broad homolog distribution.

Storage &
Handling

Normal safety precautions (i.e. gloves and safety goggles) should be employed when handling
AMPHOSOL LB. Contact with the eyes and prolonged contact with the skin should be avoided. Wash
thoroughly after handling material.

It is recommended that AMPHOSOL LB be stored in sealed containers and kept at temperatures between
40F (4C) and 110F (43.3C). Avoid overheating or freezing. If material is frozen, mild heat and agitation
are recommended to ensure the material is homogeneous before use.
Standard Packaging: AMPHOSOL LB is available in bulk and 55 gallon drums (net weight 450 lb/204 kg).
Workplace
Exposure

Occupational exposure can occur primarily through skin contact or via inhalation of vapors and mists.
Engineering controls, personal protective equipment, and other workplace practices should be used to control
these exposures.

Mixing Procedure:
Into a suitable vessel equipped with mixing capabilities, add D.I. Water, STEOL CS-230, STEPAN-MILD LSB,
STEPANOL WA-SPECIAL, and AMPHOSOL LB. Start mixing and mix until the mixture looks homogeneous.
Add preservative, fragrance and dye and mix well. Adjust viscosity with sodium chloride. Adjust pH if
necessary with citric acid or sodium hydroxide. Stop mixing.
