Single-point mooring
Ship-to-ship mooring
Tandem mooring
A complete stern offloading system is available: stern
mounted Quick Release Hook with load monitoring,
hawser and hawser reel, hose and hose reel.
Spread mooring
Multiple chain stoppers mounted at bow and stern
quarters providing 12-16 mooring points with or
without load monitoring and remote release.
Mooring units
Quick release hooks (QRH), quick release hawser
hooks (QRHH) and chain stoppers (CS) are the
primary anchor points for securing mooring lines,
chafe chains and hawsers. Manufactured from
high-quality material to OCIMF guidelines, Trelleborg
Marine Systems hooks and stoppers have proven to
be the industry benchmark in terms of strength and
reliability.
Quick Release Hawser Hooks
For FSO and FPSO, bow and stern mooring
Secure the end link of the mooring assembly or
mooring hawser eye
Capacities range up to 850 t MBL
Chain Stoppers
For FSO, FPSO bow and stern mooring or spread
mooring
Secure the common link of stud link anchor
ranging from 76 to 114 mm diameter
Capacities range up to 1150 t MBL
Optional chain tensioner
Quick Release Hooks
For FLNG FSRU ship-to-ship mooring, lightering and
offshore terminals
Secure the mooring hawser soft eye and are
generally installed in multiple-hook configuration
with an integrated capstan
Single hook capacities range from 60 t to 150 t

Buoy-mounted Equipment
Load cell: installed in the tri-plate or pad eye, fits
most styles of new and existing CALM buoys.
Controller: contains the microprocessor, load cell
interface, data logger and telemetry equipment. The
controller is located on the deck within an explosionproof enclosure and double sealed within an outer
stainless steel enclosure that ensures the controller
is completely protected against the harsh environment
Telemetry: Trelleborg telemetry systems have a
reputation for reliability spanning 20 years. Hawser
loads and alarms are transmitted over telemetry in
real-time to portable pagers on the vessel or fixed
workstations onshore. The telemetry is UHF band
and incorporates inputs for the load cells, battery
monitoring and options such as line pressure,
navigation beacon photocell, anenometers and
temperature and humidity sensors.
Power supply: to operate the buoy equipment is from
deep-cycle batteries, which may be charged from
optional solar panels. The power is controlled by a
microprocessor to enable automatic load-shedding
and temperature compensation and to monitor the
charge status. The base station can interrogate the
power status remotely.
The FDS has high levels of structural and electromechanical reliablity for the new generation of
FPSO and FLNG vessels. A typical system may
include four to six primary fender davits, two or
more secondary fender davits, a local davit control
console and an electro-hydraulic power unit to
provide system pressure and flow
to operate davits individually or
simultaneously. Davits can
be operated individually
or simultaneously and
an optional heave
compensation system
is available. The FDS is
compact enough to be
installed between the LNG
tanks and the vessel hull.
