Overview:

DoorTools includes 7 tools under the Door Tools menu:
Frame
Left
Right
Trim
Mullion
Louver
Glass
Installation:
=============
1. Unrar DoorTools.rar into the following directory: C:\Program Files\Google\Google
SketchUp 6\Plugins If your using Vista it will be the following directory: C:\Program
Files (x86)\Google\Google SketchUp 6\Plugins
2. Place the DoorTools.rb file in the Plugins directory
3. Add the DoorTools folder to the Plugins directory.
4. Access the DoorTools either by looking for the new "Door Tools" entry in the Plugins
menu There are 7 door related objects in the "Door Tools" sub menu, or use the
DoorTools Icon Pallete, Goto View>Toolbars, check mark the entry "Door Tools"
5. There are 7 door related objects in the Door Tool bar.
Instruction on use:

A word of caution: You must look at the bottom of the VCB:
For instructions on where to click in the opening. This Door Tool uses the "pick 3 points
rectangle" approach to installing any "Door Style" from the Door Tool menu, into any wall
opening. including any of the "Door Accessories" into any opening into the selected "Door
Style". Door Tool will NOT make or cut any openings. The opening must be predefined with
required height and width, prior to using Door Tools.
1. Frame Tool: Draws Door Frames, which are the thickness of the wall. The 2d
frame profile is also added to the DoorSwing Layer, when a Door frame is used.
2. Left Hand Door: "Click Top Left Corner of any opening to start > Left Hand
Door"
3. Right Hand Door: "Click Top Right Corner of any opening to start > Right Hand
Door"
4. Be aware Doors go into Walls, and Walls have thickness. Make sure Wall
thickness is defined! The default Wall thickness is 6". This is important since all
Doors can be drawn from one side of the opening the door is going to occupy.
You DO NOT have to rotate walls to draw doors in the opposite wall opening.
The 2 main Door drawing routines reside under the "Door Swing" menu. They
provide access to 4 possible Door Swing types.
5. Door Styles: Slab, Panel, Panel Open, Panel & Glass, Glass Use Panel Open for
adding Door Accessories such as Mullions, Louvers, Glass, to your Doors.
6. Default Layer, by default all Door components are placed on the "Doors" layer
However the name can be changed in the dialog box, prior to placing doors.
7. DoorSwing Layer: shows only the 2d door swing, and also the 2d frame profile if
a door frame is used.
8. Panic Rail: NO/YES option
9. Hardware: options include; Lever, Knob, None
10. Trim Tool: Draws Door Molding Trim; around the opening, one one or both sides
of the wall.
11. Mullion Tool: Draws Mullions, into Panel doors if the Panel Open door type has
been chosen prior.
12. Louver Tool: Draws Louvers, into Panel doors if the Panel Open door type has
been chosen prior.
13. Glass Tool: Draws Glass; into Panel doors if the Panel Open door type has been
chosen prior.
The Louver & Mullion Tools are both usable with many other applications. For example: the
Louver Tool can draw window blinds behind glass, or make a patio screen etc. The angle of
the louvers is adjustable, as is the offset from the sides, and recess into the opening. The
Mullion Tool can create Panels; solid, open, or both.
