HORSES
whoa!
Let's slow down
and have a look
around.
Shaggy donkey,
there is mischief
in your eye.
Are you going to nip
your mother's tail?

We have to cross
this wetland
to get to the grass
and dandelions.
But then, how nice
to stop and nibble
a bit!
Oh, my!
I'm fenced in!
I want to play
with my friends
in the wide-open
spaces.
Baby horses
like to be
with their mothers
Hi, there!
I want to come
into the stable
with you.
Look!
We're all dressed up
like twins.
Hitched together,
we jingle and jangle.
Aren't we a pretty
sight?
Another heavy log
to pull.
But when the day's
work is done,
we can go home
and eat our oats.
I'm small and
would like to rest
awhile longer.
Then I'll swim
across the lake
with you.

Ai
!
Oh, the sun
is shining,
and the flowers
are in bloom.
It's nice to be
outdoors.
The snow is cold,
but we'll keep warm
in the shaggy coats
we've grown.
And soon it will be
springtime.
