A Light Exists in Spring

~Emily Dickinson

A Light exists in Spring Not present on the Year At any other period -- When March is scarcely here
A Color stands abroad On Solitary Fields That Science cannot overtake But Human Nature feels.
It waits upon the Lawn, It shows the furthest Tree Upon the furthest Slope
you know It almost speaks to you.
Then as Horizons step Or Noons report away Without the Formula of sound It passes and we stay -A quality of loss Affecting our Content As Trade had suddenly encroached Upon a Sacrament

No rhyme scheme 1 stanza

I think that this qualifies as a childrens poem because it sounds like something that a parent
would read to their child.
I chose this poem because I think that is flows very smoothly.

Hear A Song...
In the song of life, all lyrics need a melody.

You are the lyric and you are the melody.

You are the lyric of my heart and of my soul.
The beauty of the rose, speaks a lyric of love.
Love, speaks a lyric of you.
The silent lyric of goodness, echoes from within you.
My heart, speaks the lyric of love...to only you.
Let the words...the lyric...that bind, pass between us.
Let the lyric, of you...of me...be as one.
A million words I can speak of you and the lyrics.
would be the same...I love you now. I always will

This is a lyric poem because it says lyric a lot.
I choose this poem because it sounds a lot like a song

Awake
My last night as a full-time child
I didn't want to sleep, for fear of

Waking up in a rustle of too-crisp sheets

And a creak of inadequate bedsprings
With a lightly snoring virtual stranger eight feet away.
And also I didn't want it to be tomorrow,
Because then it would be time to do what
I've denied for three weeks of subsistence
And oblivion--ignoring is bliss.
And I saw everything I never did
Lying around me, pieces and steps of the
Success I never got, reminders that
Whatever I planned, I never got far.
But in the middle of these broken promises
To myself, I could see for the first time
That I have not been broken.
And I must keep myself, all that is real,
As daybreak does, and nightfall.
I exist to others, but all I need is me.
I will be the last promise, when all is said
And kept.
No rhyme scheme, 1 stanza
This is a free verse because of the fact that it does not rhyme
I chose this poem because it is way better that anything I would be able to write.

Won't you come and

see loneliness?
from the kiri tree.

1 stanza, it is a haiku because the syllables go, 5, 7, 5.
Just one leaf I choose this poem because my favorite tree is the kiri or parasol tree.

I've been taking into crates ever since I was livin in space
Before the ratrace, before monkeys had human traits
Mastered numerology and big bang theology
Performed lobotomies with telekinetic psychology
Invented the mic so I could start blessin it
And chincheckin kids to make my point like an impressionist
Many men have tried to shake us
But I twist mic cords to double helixes and show them what I'm made of
I buckle knees like leg braces
Cast the spell of instrumental-ness and all of the emcees that hate us
So try on, leave you without a shoulder to cry on
From now to infinity let icons be bygones
I fire bomb ghostly notes haunt this
I've tried threats but moved on to a promise
I stomp it with or without an accomplis

In the clouds I see

a beautiful bumble bee.
I lay on the ground that is brown
and see a bunny cloud with a crown.
As I am driving I spot a cat
with a very tall hat.
As I fall asleep I think of
a big heart which stands for love.
As I am sleeping I think
of a giant dog cloud that was pink.
As I die I imagine a cloud
of a lion roaring load.

I like chicken

Monsters, super scary, I just might pee!
This was the reason for another fright!
I just heard my heart sing a melody
Then I heard a noise coming from the hall
I turned around and saw platypus
He just stood there doing nothing at all
It looked kind of like a little green bus
I turned back to my room, Wow what was that?
Looked down at my feet, Wow Im really fat!

I have to write a triolet

If I would make My name immortal.
To get a form that's fit and set.
I have to write a triolet.
From free verse all you ever get
Is just another yawn or chortle.
I have to write a triolet
If I would make my name immortal.

Musical and sweet, the villanelle,

like light reflected in a gentle rhyme,
moves to the ringing of a silver bell,
its form creating soft and tender spells. Like the singing of distant silver chimes, musical and sweet,
the villanelle
flows through the heart, and builds a magic spell from sunlight and from shadows, and,
sublime, moves to the ringing of a silver bell.
It never arcs into the sharp loud yell of vast pipe organs. Soft its climb. Musical and sweet, the
villanelle,
like a tiny and translucent shell catching sunlight in the summer time, moves to the ringing of a silver
bell.
Soft and gentle, tender and so frail, like light pouring through petals of the lime, musical and sweet,
the villanelle moves to the ringing of a silver bell.

I like to eat food

Food that is good
Food that is small
Food that is sour

Food that is tasty

That is sweet
That is healthy
That is bad for you
It is expensive
It is cheap
it is big
it is small
It is my kind of food
