ROAD) (TEMPORARYPROHIBITIONOF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC) ORDER 2014
NOTICE is hereby given that Pembrokeshire County Council has made an Order under
Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary
Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order is necessary so that work to resurface Penblewin Roundabout can be carried out.
To enable the resurfacing to take place it will be necessary to close the south bound arm of the
roundabout to traffic. The effect of the Order will therefore temporarily prohibit all vehicular
traffic, other than exempted vehicles, from proceeding along that section of the A478
Penblewin Roundabout to Narberth road, from its junction with Penblewin Roundabout, south
for a distance of 100 metres.
The alternative route for traffic will be via the A40(T), B4314 Robeston Wathen to Narberth
road, Spring Gardens and Jesse Road.
To minimise disruption, the restrictions which will be signed accordingly, will be implemented
over 5 consecutive nights, commencing on Sunday 21
st
September 2014, between the hours of
19.00hrs and 06.00hrs.
Pedestrian access will be maintained. The Order will remain valid for a maximum period of 12
months as a contingency should the works need to be rescheduled or in the event of any
unforeseen circumstances.
THE COUNTY OF PEMBROKE (CHURNWORKS, HAVERFORDWEST)
(PROHIBITION OF RIGHT TURN) ORDER 2014
NOTICE is hereby given that on the 15
th
day of September 2014 Pembrokeshire County
Council made an Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) and 2(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act
1984 (the Act).
The effect of the Order is:-
1. No person shall cause or permit any vehicle exiting that length of Perrots Road, which
leads to Swan Square, to make a right hand turn at Churnworks onto the eastbound
traffic lane of the A487 / Old Bridge Relief Road.
2. No person shall cause or permit any vehicle exiting the B4320 from Crow Hill through
North Gate to make a right hand turn at Churnworks onto the south westbound
traffic lane of the A487 / Perrots Road.
There will be exemptions within the Order for vehicles being used for Police, Fire Brigade or
Ambulance purposes.
The Order will come into operation on the 22
nd
day of September 2014 with the restrictions
coming into force when the necessary signs are placed on site. A copy of the Order together
with a map showing the lengths of road affected may be examined at the offices of
Pembrokeshire County Council County Hall Haverfordwest during the usual office hours.
Any person who desires to question the validity of this Order or of any provision contained in
it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Act or on the grounds that
any requirement of the Act or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in
relation to the Order may within six weeks of the date on which the Order was made apply to
the High Court for this purpose
