The Renault Kerax range offers five Euro 3 engine variants that
provide the ideal compromise between low-speed torque and low
consumption. The offering is completed by new drive axles and
double-reduction tandems for over-the-road and off-road use.

EURO 3 ENGINES:
DELIVERING POWER AND TORQUE
With five engines tuned to meet the Euro 3 standard, the Renault
Kerax range offers a choice of power ratings with high torque output
to meet the most demanding needs in the construction sector.
The DXi11 engine comes in power ratings of 330, 380 and 440 hp
whereas the DXi13 engine develops 450 and 490 hp.
These engines have been engineered to deliver high power and
torque, with maximum torque available across an operating band
from 1000 to 1400 rpm. This has the effect of improving pulling
power across the most arduous worksites.
DRIVELINE OPTIMISED FOR
USE IN DIFFICULT TERRAIN
Renault Kerax allows customers the choice between a new 4- to 16-
speed manual ZF Ecosplit gearbox that offers the best trade-off
between engine torque and mobility, and the Optidriver+ robotised
gearbox that is perfect for off-road use and which can be deployed
in automatic mode in over 90 % of all situations.
Developing high torque at low engine speeds, the Renault Kerax DXi
engines optimise the robustness of the entire driveline, promote low
consumption and help to reduce operating and maintenance costs.

RENAULT KERAX LIGHT ELECTRONIC
Renault Kerax is nowavailable in a Light Electronic (LE) version that is
adapted for use in difficult environments.
This version is factory equipped with a diesel fuel prefilter/water
separator unit on the chassis, numerous metal protection systems for
critical vehicle units, oversized inter-axle prop shafts as well as inter-
axle and inter-wheel locking systems.
The electronics system has been simplified through the use of
interchangeableboxes, thusallowingthevehicletocontinueitsjourney
and complete its mission in the case of incidents.
RENAULT KERAX XTREM, READY FOR
ANY CHALLENGE
TheRenault KeraxXTremupgradestheLEversionby addingadditional
chassis reinforcements, reinforced front suspensions, 4-leaf parabolic

The Renault Kerax driving position has been designed to provide
good working comfort and easy life on board, enabling the driver to
take advantage of an ergonomic dashboard that is both functional
and practical. All driving controls are within the drivers reach and
field of vision.
In the cab, the new interior colour schemes create a pleasant all-
round atmosphere.
PANORAMIC WINDSHIELD
On construction sites, here more than anywhere else, the driver
needs to have excellent visibility. For this reason, Renault Kerax is
fitted with a broad windshield and rear side windows that increase
the field of vision by a further 30.
EASY CAB ACCESS
Whether in Day, Global or Sleeper version, the Renault
Kerax cab is designed to allow easy access, with doors that open
90, grab handles on the right and on the left, as well as
stepwell lighting.
Three non-slip steps and a shape-retaining foldaway step make
it even easier to get in and out of the cab.

GEARBOXES
New gearboxes guarantee the optimal combined advantages of
payload, lower consumption and driving pleasure: three, 16-
speed manual gearboxes and two 12-speed robotised
gearboxes.
3 systems to enhance gearchanging comfort:
Thecablecontrol brings comfort (vibration damping), flexibility
and safety by preventing gears jumping out because of
combined cab and chassis movement.
Servoshift gearchanging assistance that takes up 75 % of the
effort needed to change gears.
Gearboxes are equipped with the "Super H" pattern control.
The Super H pattern control superimposes gears 5 to 8 onto
gears 1 to 4.
Simply press the button atop the gear lever knob to move from
one speed range to another.
The electro valve protects the system from gearchanging errors.
The range splitter synchro protection prevents shifting from a
high-range to a low-range gear.
Gear selection is precise, fast (reduced throw) and safe (electro
valve).
The gearbox is adapted for use with double reduction drive axles,
for even better mobility of the truck.
Optidriver+ gearboxes are robotised boxes adapted for site
delivery applications and integrate an "off-road" mode.
Renault Kerax can also be equipped with the Allison series 4000
automatic gearbox.

BRAKES
Renault Kerax comes standard with drum brakes. It can also
receive the latest generation of the Electronic Braking System,
an electronically-controlled air brake system that adjusts the
brake pressure applied to each wheel so as to match road
adherence conditions.
EBS Basic +
ABS: vehicle trajectory control during emergency stops.
Emergency braking assistance: optimised braking distance
during emergency braking.
Engine brake management: on a lightly-loaded vehicle,
prevents the rear wheels from locking up when downshifting
on wet road surfaces and keeps the vehicle under control.
Hill-start assistance: releases the brakes without the vehicle
rolling backwards.
