O Lord, hear my Prayer, give ear to my
supplications in Thy Truth; hear me
in Thy Righteousness.
Do not enter into Judgement with Thy
servant, for in Thy Sight no living is
justified.
For the enemy has persecuted my soul;
he has crushed my life to the
ground; he has made me dwell in
darkness, like those who have long
been dead, and my spirit is
overwhelmed within me; my heart
within me is distressed.
I remembered the days of old; I
meditated on all Thy Works; I
pondered on the work of Thy Hands.
I spread out my hands to Thee; my
soul longs for Thee, like a thirsty
land.
Hear me quickly, O Lord; my spirit
fails.
Do not turn Thy Face away from me,
lest I be like those who go down into
the pit.
Cause me to hear Thy Mercy in the
morning, for in Thee I have put my
trust.
Cause me to know, O Lord, the way in
which I should walk, for I lift up my
soul to Thee.
Rescue me, Lord, from my enemies; to
Thee have I fled for refuge.
Teach me to do Thy Will, for Thou art
my God.

PRIEST In those days Mary arose and went
in haste to the hill country, to a city
of Judah, and she entered the house
of Zachariah and greeted Elizabeth.
And when Elizabeth heard the greeting
of Mary, the babe leapt in her womb;
and Elizabeth was filled with the
Holy Spirit and she exclaimed with a
loud cry: Blessed art Thou among
women, and Blessed is the Fruit of
Thy Womb!
And why is this granted to me, that
the Mother of my Lord should come
to me?
For behold, when the voice of Thy
greeting came to my ears, the babe in
my womb leapt for Joy.
And Blessed is She who believed, for
there would be a Fulfilment of what
was spoken to Her from the Lord.
And Mary said: My soul Magnifies the
Lord, and my spirit Rejoices in God
my Saviour, for He has regarded the
lowly estate of His Handmaiden.
For behold henceforth all generations
will call me Blessed; for He Who is
Mighty has done Great Things for
me, and Holy is His Name!
And Mary remained with her about
three months, and returned to her
home.
