1. The document outlines the setup steps required in Oracle WebCenter Content (OWCC) to integrate it with Oracle Learning Management (OLM).
2. The key steps are: creating an "OLMContentstorage" folder, setting up a web URL folder mapping, installing a custom component, restarting the OWCC server, and configuring folder settings.
3. Additional steps in OLM are also required to complete the integration, such as defining the OWCC server and a SCORM adapter.

Purpose Oracle WebCenter Content (OWCC) can be used as a content server for Oracle Learning Management (OLM). When OWCC, formerly Oracle Universal Content Management, is integrated with OLM, learning administrators can: Access OWCC from OLM. Associate existing content on OWCC with a learning object in OLM. Import SCORM or AICC compliant content to OWCC. Upload content to OWCC from within OLM. This document explains the setup steps required in the OWCC server to integrate OLM with OWCC. The system administrator must complete the following steps: Setup Steps Required in the OWCC server to Integrate with OLM: 1. Create OLMContentstorage Folder 2. Create Web URL Folder Mapping 3. Install Custom Component EBSOLMUnzipAndExtract 4. Restart the OWCC Server. 5. Use Folder Configuration to Define Values for Maximum Folder Per Virtual Folder and Maximum Content Per Virtual Folder Setup Steps Required in OLM to Complete the Integration with OWCC: 6. Define OWCC Server 7. Define SCORM adapter Prerequisites Before you complete the setup steps required in the OWCC server to integrate OLM with OWCC, you must ensure the following: 1. Oracle WebCenter Content installation is correct and complete. 2. Completed configuring the Folder Structure. To do this:
a. Log in to the content server after enabling the required components as admin weblogic/welcome1 b. Expand Browse Content. Ensure that you can view the Contribution Folders after enabling the Folders component. Note that Oracle E-Business Suite supports only Oracle WebCenter Content 11g PS5 and above. Create OLMContentstorage Folder Create a folder OLMContentstorage under Contribution Folders. Use the same name (case sensitive) as the name is hardcoded in OLM component code. Only zip files uploaded or imported under this folder will be unzipped automatically. 1. Create a folder OLMContentstorage under Contribution Folders. 2. Log in as an administrator (eg:weblogic/welcome1). 3. Expand Browse Content. You can view the Contribution Folders after enabling the Folders component.
4. Select Contribution Folders and create a folder named OLMContentstorage. The OLM administrator must use OLMContentstorage folder or its subfolders within this folder to upload or import content from OLM.
Note: Ensure that the OLMContentstorage folder is Public. Create Web URL Folder Mapping This feature allows to access documents contained within that folder using a URL, thereby providing a mechanism to manage items that have relative paths to each other. 1. Log in as administrator->Folder Configuration ->Web Url Mapped Folders Folder = /Contribution Folders/OLMContentstorage/ and Url Mapping = contentstorage You can use any value of your choice, but ensure to use this value as virtual directory in content server setup page of OLM. 2. Click Add.
Install Custom Component EBSOLMUnzipAndExtract Install custom component EBSOLMUnzipAndExtract provided by OLM. As Oracle WebCenter Content does not automatically checkin folders and files of an uploaded or imported zipped content, install this component to achieve this requirement. Note: Before you begin this step, ensure that you have the custom component: EBSOLMUnzipAndExtract.zip. The component zip file can be obtained from $ota/html/ on the EBS middle-tier or from the patch mentioned in the My Oracle Support note. Oracle Learning Management enables to individually checkin folders and files of a zipped content in to OLMContentstorage folder. 1. Log in as administrator->Admin Server->Advanced Component Manager
2. Select the component(EBSOLMUnzipAndExtract.zip) and then click install. Restart the Oracle WebCenter Content Server Restart the Oracle WebCenter Content server for all the setup changes to take effect.
Configure Folder Use Folder Configuration to define values for Maximum Folders Per Virtual Folder and Maximum Content Per Virtual Folder. 1. Log in as administrator-> Folder Configuration 2. Set appropriate values to Maximum Folders Per Virtual Folder and Maximum Content Per Virtual Folder to limit the number of virtual folders and the number files within a given virtual folder respectively, depending on organization requirements. Maximum Folders Per Virtual Folder: Set the value based on the number of content objects. Note: In both the fields, initially you can set the value to 500 and later increase the number based on the volume.
Set up Steps Required in OLM to Complete the Integration with OWCC Define Content Server
1. Log in as learning administrator->Set up -> Content Servers. Note: You must always select the UCM Content Server check box.
2. Define SCORM adapter. Refer to the Setting up a SCORM Adapter topic in the Oracle Learning Management User Guide.
