Dear Dr. Winter, I spent a lot of time on your website and
want to know the best way to have implants. I have read a lot
about same day teeth, implants in a day, all on 4 and its very
confusing.
Dear Jamie, the type of implant treatment you have depends
upon a lot of factors such as the amount of bone you have, the
quality of the bone, your budget, your goals and your overall
health. When we do treatment plans for patients we use a
concept Dr. Winter has published articles about called
Upgradeable Dentistry. This concept acknowledges that each
patient has different needs, wants, desires and budgets. So
patients can select options that sequentially improve a persons
condition until they get the type of implant prosthesis they
desire.
If a patient wants 4 implants to support an entire missing arch
of teeth the treatment called All-On-4 can be an option and in
some instances teeth can be made to sit on these implants on the
same day as they are placed. The problem is that loading or
putting forces on implants the day they are placed depends on
having dense bone so the insertion of the implants is solid and it
takes a certain amount of torque to insure the implants are tight
enough to place forces on them or they can fail. This is one type
of treatment that can be successful and while it has plenty of
literature to support this concept the use of more implants is the
philosophy that we use in our practice. Having 7-9 implants to
support 14 missing teeth distributes forces over more posts
than just 4 posts. In performing surgery and restorative
treatment we offer discounts based upon the number of implants

Dear Dr. Winter how do I know if I should have my teeth
removed and have implants versus periodontal surgery for the
third time?
Dear Charles, periodontal surgery will remove diseased gum
tissue, smooth the bone to make it more cleansable and should
only need to be done one time, ideally to help preserve teeth that
didnt respond to traditional deep cleanings. When someone
needs multiple surgeries it could be a sign that significant bone
has been lost. The discussion that needs to occur would be how
long you wish to retain your teeth and are they causing any pain
or cosmetic problems. Sometimes teeth that have lost bone
have black triangles that represent where bone has been lost.
This recession can create a smile that looks long in the tooth
or esthetically displeasing.

can be discussed, the tissues evaluated and the budget
understood so the best treatment can be rendered based upon a
persons conditions.

Escape the towering imprisonment of
Madame Gothel as Missoula Childrens
Theatre brings Rapunzel to the Schauer Arts
& Activities Center on Friday, Aug. 15 at 7
p.m. and Saturday, Aug. 16 at 1 p.m. Local
students bring to life an original musical
adaptation for all to enjoy.
Missoula Childrens Theatre (MCT) pro-
vides a one-week intensive drama workshop
at the Schauer Center starring local students
entering grades 1-12 in a full-scale musical.
Auditions will be held on Monday, Aug. 11
at 10 a.m. and last approximately 90-120
minutes. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. in
the Schauer Center lobby. No advance
preparation is necessary and there is no fee
to audition, but audition is required for par-
ticipation. Tuition is $50 for those cast in the
production and includes enrollment in one
MCT theater workshop and one compli-
mentary ticket.
An original musical adaptation of the
fairy tale, Rapunzel takes a frivolous frol-
ic through the French countryside. Its out of
the tower and on the run as a zany cast of
friends and foes help Rapunzels harrowing
escape from the towering imprisonment of
Madame Gothel. Add a dash of French flair
and a pinch of personal triumph and friend-
ship to make a truly unforgettable story.
Written and conceived by Michael
McGill, Rapunzel is a 60-minute, family-
friendly performance recommended for
ages 4 and up. Those who attend will have
the opportunity to meet the cast after the
show.
Tickets to Rapunzel are $13 for adults,
$11 for students, $8 for children (12 and
under), and $5 for lap seats. Tickets can be
purchased at the Schauer Center Box Office
Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to
5:30 p.m. and Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to
2 p.m. at 147 N. Rural Street in Hartford,

The following report was
taken from records at the West
Bend Police Department.
Burglary
A 36-year-old West Bend man was
arrested for burglary and theft at 6:02
p.m. July 21 on the southeast side of the
city. A resident reported that he came
home and found a door to his residence
kicked in and money missing from the
residence. Follow-up investigation lead
to the arrest of the suspect. He was
placed in jail.
Retail theft
Three teenage girls were arrested
for retail theft at Shopko, 1710 S. Main
St. at 2:24 p.m. July 27. A 15-year-old
Milwaukee girl was stopped by loss pre-
vention at the store as she left without
paying for the merchandise. While
police were investigating this incident,
two 17-year-old females, also from
Milwaukee, as well as the 15 year old,
also had stolen merchandise from Kohls.
The 15-year-old received two citations
for theft and the two 17-year-olds each
received a citation for theft.
Drug possession
A 17-year-old West Bend girl was
arrested for possession of drug para-
phernalia and bail jumping at 4:54 p.m.
July 27 after she was stopped for a traf-
fic violation at Paradise Drive and
Silverbrook Avenue. The officer
observed drug paraphernalia in the vehi-
cle. The female was placed in jail.
Motor vehicle theft
Two 15-year-old males and a 16-
year-old male, all residents of West
Bend, were arrested for taking a vehicle
of a relative without permission while the
vehicle owner was in the hospital July 27
on the northside of the city. The vehicle
was recovered in Hartford and all three
subjects were arrested and turned over
to juvenile authorities.
Operating while intoxicated
A 20-year-old West Bend woman
was arrested for operating while intoxi-
cated-first offense and operating a motor
vehicle without owners consent at 12:42
a.m. July 23 following a traffic stop at S.
Main Street and 5th Avenue.
Investigation determined that she did not
have permission to drive the vehicle as
she had taken it from a residence where
she had been drinking. The female was
cited for OWI and was placed in jail for
OMVWOOC.
A 21-year-old Port Washington
man was arrested for operating while
intoxicated-first offense at 2:33 a.m. July
26 after nearly striking a construction
barrel in the 2600 block of E.
Washington Street.
A 25-year-old Kewaskum man was
arrested for operating while intoxicated-
first offense at 2:33 a.m. July 26 after he
was stopped for an unsafe lane devia-
tion at Sand Drive and Polaris Street.
West Bend Police responded to
bomb threats that were made against
two businesses in the city July 25.
According to the police report:
At about 4 p.m., the Walgreens
Store at 1720 W. Washington St. in
West Bend received a threatening
phone call indicating that an explosive
device was placed in the store. The
caller said there was another explosive
device across the street in the Fleet Farm
Store, 1637 W. Washington St. Both
Walgreens and Fleet Farm were evacu-
ated and searched but no devices were
found. Both stores re-opened for busi-
ness about 30 minutes later.
The Plymouth Police Department is
investigating a similar incident at a
Walgreens in their city, which occurred
about 30 minutes prior to the call to the
West Bend Walgreens. West Bend Police
are working with the Plymouth Police
Department and continuing the investiga-
tion to identify the source of the threat.

Rubicon was in second place in the
Rock River baseball Northern Division with
a 13-3 record following a 16-5 win over
Lebanon July 26. The Red Sox will play at
Kewaskum Aug. 3 and finish the regular
season by hosting Hustisford Aug. 10. Both
games begin at 1:30 p.m.
Hartford was fourth in the Northern
Division with a 9-5 record after a 16-7 win
over Oakfield July 27. Hartford will host
Kewaskum at 7 p.m. July 31 and then play
at Slinger at 1:30 p.m. Aug. 3. The Hawks
last two games of the regular season are at
7:30 p.m. Aug. 8 against Juneau and at
1:30 p.m. Aug. 10 against Lebanon.
Hustisford followed Hartford with an 8-
7 record. Hustisford's July 27 game against
Kewaskum was postponed. Upcoming
games include an Aug. 3 match against
Brownsvile and an Aug. 10 game at
Rubicon, with both games starting at 1:30
p.m.
Slinger had an 8-8 record and was
sixth in the Northern Division. The Stingers
beat Ashippun July 27, 26-12. Slingers
next two games are against Hartford Aug.
3 and against Juneau Aug. 10, with both
games starting at 1:30 p.m.
Land O' Lakes results
The West Bend Benders lost to the
Cedarburg Mercs July 23, 14-4. The
Benders had a 1-13 record in the Land
O'Lakes North Division.
The West Bend 7 Up were third in the
Land O'Lakes West Division with a 12-5
record following a 9-2 win over the
Monches Irish July 26. The 7 Up will finish
the regular season against the
Oconomowoc 5 O's at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 1.

operation, repair of production equipment, PMs, and machine breakdowns.

EXPERIENCED MAINTENANCE PERSON
We seek quality inspectors for our 3 shifts. Qualified applicants must be able to read
blueprints, use basic gauging equipment, have knowledge of computers, knowledge
of GMPs, MIL-STDs and S.P.C., and work under minimum supervision. Ideal
candidates may have equivalent quality experience or a manufacturing background
where quality checks were an important part of their daily responsibilities.
