Pharmaceuticals Market. GSK has two products:
Nutritionals and OTC.
Recently GSK has successfully extended brand Horlicks into food
categories such as biscuits, noodles, cereal bars & oats. Total Consumer
Healthcare sales in 2011 were 5.2 billion, 16% of Group turnover.
Amway
Amway is one of the worlds largest direct selling companies. Amway
operates in more than 80 countries and territories on six continents.
More than 450 unique, high-quality products carry the Amway name in
the areas of nutrition, wellness, beauty, and home. In addition, Amway
distributors in selected markets sell additional brand-name goods
through local merchandise catalogues, plus a variety of services and
educational products.
The Indian arm of Amway Corporation, has achieved a turnover of Rs
22.88 billion for calendar year 2012. The company also registered a
CAGR of over 20 per cent for the past five years and is aiming to achieve
the turnover of Rs 50 billion by year 2020.
Abbott Nutrition
Abbott Nutrition is a division of Abbott, the global, broad-based health
care company. It offers a range of nutritional products for children,
infants, adults, people with diabetes etc.
Worldwide sales of nearly $5.4 billion increased 3.5 percent on an
operational basis, consistent with previous guidance, driven by 9.0
percent operational sales growth in Nutrition and 6.4 percent
operational sales growth in Diagnostics.

In India the traditional knowledge and Ayurveda plays a major role in
the health supplements market and OTC market and its significance

Dabur
Founded in 1884 to produce and dispense Ayurvedic medicines, Dabur
is the largest ayurvedic Medicine and health supplements provider in
India. Its flagship health supplement product is the Dabur Chawanprash.
Emami
Emami Limited is an Indian producer of fast moving consumer goods
(FMCG), such as cosmetics and health and baby products. Emami
Limited acquired a major stake in Zandu Pharmaceuticals Works Ltd, a
century-old household name in India, for Rs 7 billion. Emami added
some of Zandu's prominent brands like Zandu Balm, Zandu
Chyawanprash, Zandu Kesri Jeevan, Zandu Pancharishta, Sudarshan
and Nityam Churna to its own range.
Hamdard Laboratories
It is an unani and Ayurvedic Pharmaceutical and Nutraceutical company
in India and other SAARC nations. Some of its most famous products
include Sharbat RoohAfza, Safi, Roghan Badam Shirin, Sualin, Joshina
and Cinkara.
Himalaya Healthcare
The Himalaya Drug Company is a company established by M. Manal in
1930 and based in Bangalore, India. It produces health care products
under the name Himalaya Herbal Healthcare, which include ayurvedic
ingredients. An Hepatic health supplement, named Liv.52, is its flagship
product, first introduced in 1955.
