TS27R
Steps on TS27R
1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6.
Mounting the probe. Adjusting the stylus. Probe calibration. Setting length only. Setting length and diameter. Using the tool to set a Z work offset.
Detach the probe base from the bottom of the TS27R by removing the two 3MM screws at the base. Attach the plate to the machine with a T bolt. Refit the TS27R with the 3MM screws. ADJUST THE FLATNESS OF THE STYLUS IN BOTH X AND Y
USING AN INDICATOR WITH VERY LITTLE PRESSURE CHECK TO INSURE A MAXINUM FLATNESS OF .0002 (5um). ADJUSTMENTS ARE MADE WITH TWO SCREWS THAT ACT IN OPPOSITION TO EACH OTHER. ADJUST SCREWS ALTERNATELY UNTIL THE DESIRED FLATNESS IS ACHIEVED, THEN TIGHTEN BOTH SCREWS. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN SETSCREWS. USE SCREWS (A) FOR ADJUSTMENT ALONG THE X-AXIS. USE SETSCREWS (B) FOR ADJUSTMENT ALONG THE Y-AXIS.
Using Visual Quick Code (VQC) the TS27R must be calibrated. Follow the procedure outlined in step 3 below. 3. Probe calibration
1. 2. Set up a known diameter gauge pin in a tool holder. Measure the length of the tool. This can be done by mounting an indicator to the table and touching the tool tip, note the Z position.
