Note: a) Please send the fee by demand draft/pay order in favor of 'Institute of Actuaries of India payable at Mumbai. Demand Draft should not be stapled but attached with a U pin. DDs with spelling or other errors will result in rejection of application form. DD bounce charges would be Rs 500/b) Please write at the backside of DD: Candidate ID, your name and contact no. c) During the Financial Year i.e. April to March, whenever the admission is taken, the subscription will be applicable only for that financial year e.g.:- For admission taken on 2nd March 2014 subscription will be valid till 31st March 2014. The subscription for 2014-2015 will be due on 1st April 2014. Before signing this declaration, you are strongly advised to read the Actuaries Act, 2006, Rules and Regulations of the of the Institute of Actuaries of India which are available on our website, http://actuariesindia.org/ I apply to the Council for admission as a Student of the Institute of Actuaries of India. I confirm that I am a fit and proper person to be admitted as a Student of the Institute of Actuaries of India. I confirm that I do not have any criminal convictions, other than any arising under the Road Traffic Acts, and that I am not aware of any incidents in which I have been involved that might lead to a criminal charge or conviction against me. I have not, either in the India or elsewhere - been censured, disciplined or publicly criticized by any professional body to which I belong or belonged; - or been dismissed from any office or employment; - or been excluded from a university course for misconduct; - or refused entry to any profession, association or occupation. I am not aware of any circumstances that would make me unsuitable for studentship of the Institute of Actuaries of India. If my application is approved, I understand and agree: - to conform to the Actuaries Act, 2006, Rules and Regulations of the Institute of Actuaries of India and the Professional Code of Conduct as now exists, or as may in future be altered, amended or enlarged, and I will, to the best of my ability, promote the objects of the Institute of Actuaries of India.. - That I shall be subject to the Disciplinary Rules of the Institute of Actuaries of India. Annexure 1

Criteria for becoming Student Member


A person is eligible for admission if he/she satisfies the following condition: 1) Resident in India (irrespective of nationality of the applicant) a) Passed ACET Exam 2) Applicants of countries other than India should satisfy any one of the following criteria; a) Passed 10+2(H.S.C) or equivalent with at least 85% in Mathematics/Statistics b) Graduate or Post graduate with any one of the following Mathematical subjects: i) Mathematics or any of its branches ii) Statistics or any one of its sub classifications such as Mathematical Statistics and Applied Statistics iii) Econometrics iv) Computer Science v) Any discipline of Engineering vi) Subject in Science Such as Physics or its branches The admission under these groups will however be subject to the following conditions: i) The total marks secured in the subject coming under the classification of mathematical subjects taken together in all the years of the Degree course not less than 55%

ii) The content of Mathematical subjects contained in all the years of the course taken together is not less than 50% of the total content c) Fully qualified members of the following bodies in their respective countries i) Institute of Chartered Accountants of India ii) Institute of Cost and Work Accountants d) Passed 10+2(H.S.C) and a student member from the following actuarial bodies provided at least one subject has been passed from the bodies (not on exemption basis) i) ii) iii) iv) Institute and Faculty of Actuaries Institute of Actuaries of Australia Society of Actuaries Casualty Actuarial Society
