Real Madrid Aziz Alramdhan Ashlyn Williams University of North Carolina Assignment 2 Introduction:
Real Madrid is a well-known team all over the world for their great performances and reputation of their great players. My paper will cover and discuss real Madrid since the day it was discovered. Real Madrid was always one of the top teams of the world. Real Madrid has made more accomplishments than any other team in the world, both in the Spanish league and worldwide tournaments. The paper will also cover the most important team players that helped in enhancing the team and made a noticeable change in the team appearance by showing countless results in winning championships for the More specifically I will focus on Cristiano Ronaldo and his teenier with Real Madrid. As any other team, Madrid had their struggles through the years. Real Madrid dropped down from being the best team in the league to almost the weakest team in the league, they were not the team that everybody knew. Cristiano Ronaldo joined Madrid in the summer of 2009. Since then, Madrid had shown great improvements in their performance and they are back in the leading position.
Literature Review Real Madrid:

Real Madrid was established on March 1, 1902. Unlike most European soccer clubs, Madrid members had made their way to the top by owning and operating the club since its foundation. Unlike other European clubs, Madrid had been under one owner but other clubs are commonly seen on the market for sale or bought by a new owner. Its also know that Real Madrid is the
richest soccer club in the world, the club established itself as a major power in both the Spanish and European soccer during the 1950s. Real Madrid is considered one of the best soccer teams in the world. Madrid is also considered to be one of the toughest teams to play against where most of the opponents prepare well before facing this team. For the past 15 years Madrid is well known for their great performance in the field, literally dominating every team they play against. Thanks to their great management, Madrid had made great choices which gave them the lead on every other team. Since the day that Madrid was established they focused on their reputation and on grapping the best players out there to be part of their club, eventually they did succeed even though they spent crazy amounts of dollar bills.
Cristiano Ronaldo background:

Cristiano Ronald Dos Santos Auveri, born on 5 February 1985, commonly known as Cristiano Ronaldo. Ronaldo was born and raised in Portugal. He plays as a forward player for the Spanish La Liga and serves as a captain of the Portuguese national team. A forward player are the players on an association football team who play nearest to the opposing team's goal, and are therefore most responsible for scoring goals. Their advanced position and limited defensive responsibilities mean forwards normally score more goals than other players. Ronaldo was introduced to soccer at a very young age. Ronald lived a very decent life and he also came from a very poor family. Ronaldos father played a big role in leading him towards soccer. His father worked as an equipment manager at a boys soccer club, from this point Ronaldos life was all involved in playing soccer and his journey started. His grandfather stated that Ronaldo would even miss his meals and sometimes he escapes from his bedroom window with a soccer ball while he was supposed to do his homeworks for the sake of playing soccer. In his early teen years, Ronaldo talent had grown incredibly. He signed up with Sporting Portugal club in 2001
where he started his life as a professional player. During the same year, Ronaldo showed great performance and skills in the field that he even shocked his opponents with his amazing skills. By 2003, Ronaldo caught the attention of Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson who made sure to sign him up for their team in a cost of 12.24 million while he was only 16 years old and they did. The following season, Ronaldo won his first club honor, the FA cup. Manchester United was a big plus for Ronaldo where his life began to change and became that young player that everybody talked about. Ronaldo know is considered to be one of the most expensive players in the world and one of the best players out there. He holds many previous and current scoring records including records for most goals scored in a season for Real Madrid. Before moving to Real Madrid, he had been a member of Manchester united for 6 years.
Ronaldo with Man United:

Ronaldo played for Manchester United between 2003-2009. Ronaldo first season started of great with Man United, where he helped the team win the FA Cup scoring the winning goal against Millwall. After his first incredible season, he showed up back again in 2005-2006 by scoring in the League cup final and winning the cup for his team. Here come the year between 2006-2007, it was the best year for Ronaldo where he showed a great performance throughout the season. He won the Premiership cup and ended the season by scoring 23 goal with winning all the major honours of the season. The season of 2008-2009 was the last season for Ronaldo with Manchester. This is the season where Ronaldo caught the eyes for Real Madrid. Ronaldo managed to score forty two goals in all competitions besides helping Man United winning both of the Premiership and the UEFA champions league.
La Liga:
La Liga is the strongest league in Europe over the past five year, it is also considered to be the most popular professional sports leagues in the world. Real Madrid have showed incredible performances during this league were they have won 32 times and Barcelona comes next with 22 wins. Between the years of 1961- 1980 it was called The Madrid years. During these years Madrid appeared in their best performance, they have won the La Liga fourteen times and five of these wins were in a row 1961 through 1965 and they also won the league two times three in a row between 1967-1969 and the second time was 1978-1980. During these years Madrid had the full control over the league without any competition shown from other teams. Like any other team, Madrid had been through the ups and downs of soccer. Madrid had stopped showing their great performance, showing no wins after their 1980 win. By 1986 Madrid gathered their self together and came back dominating the league again by showing five straight wins until 1990. After this period, Madrid performance got more stable and had won several cups up to 2009 when Ronaldo moved in.
UEFA Championship:
Union of European Football Associations .Its the most important cup to the Europeans soccer clubs. Its a dream for every player to get ahold of this cub even to play in this league. Every year the best preforming teams in Europe qualify to join this league, the winners are labeled to be the best club between the other clubs in Europe. Real Madrid is one of the teams that joined every championship since the UEFA was established Madrid was the first team to win the championship, they even won it five times in a row. From 1956 to 1960 it was under Real Madrids name. For the record, Madrid is the most team that have won the UEFA with a total of 9 wins, more than any other team up to todays date.

So what/conclusion
As a conclusion, I would say that Real Madrid has proven and deserved the position that they reached by know. This team had made their way to the top by their own selves and efforts without no help, there effort finally paid off .The people who own the club has acquired a lot of investments with insane amount of money to reach this position by bringing the best staff and players out there. Cristiano Ronaldo may have done a lot to this team, but that doesnt mean that the team was depending the whole time on him. Madrid has a lot of accomplishment on their record before Ronaldo even joined them. The only thing that Ronaldo add is more accomplishments and championships on the team record. Up until today, Real Madrid owners are still working hard on improving the team in every way they can, and that is most likely the reason for their success.
