The museum is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to educate and inspire children through hands-on activities such as dramatic play and creative arts. Children are engaged in tasks that introduce them to science, technology, history, culture, and more. The museums entire board and staff consist of volunteers. The proceeds from the run will help the museum fund new exhibits a single exhibit can cost thousands of dollars. After this years huge success, the fraternity hopes to make this event an annual event.
On March 1st, a group of brothers worked with a member of NRV Save Our Streams (SOS) in order to survey the water quality of a stream in Christiansburg. The team collected, counted, and identified insects taken directly from the water in order to determine its level of pollution. This was the fraternitys first stream monitoring workshop. We hope to partner with SOS again in the future.
WHO WE ARE
Delta Psi Nu Local Leadership Fraternity was established in October 2011 by a group of students at Virginia Tech. It is an entirely student-run organization. We pride ourselves in our diversity of members and widespread involvement on campus and in the Blacksburg community. We are a co-ed group and value friendship above everything else.
