Season ends
for Centennials

The 2013/2014 BCHL season has

ended for the Merritt Centennials following a 4-3 loss to the Penticton Vees in
Game 4 of the Interior Division SemiFinal on Saturday night, resulting in the
Vees taking the series 4-0 and advancing
to the next round.
The Centennials finish the 2013/14
season with a combined regular season
and playoff record of 31-25-4-2 with a
GFA of 3.12 and a GAA of 3.02.
The 20-year old graduating players
include Jason Bird, Tyler Martin, Sebastien Pare, Scott Patterson, Payton
Schaefer. The Merritt Centennials would
like to thank all of these players for their
contributions to the team and community during their time as Centennials.
The team will be holding a seasonending banquet with information to follow, please stay tuned to the Centennials
website and Facebook page.

The community of Merritt and surrounding areas are invited to visit Its An
Honour!, a new traveling exhibit about the
Canadian Honours System now making its
way across the country. Over the next 2
years, it will journey to schools, community
centres, special events and small towns to
connect with and inspire visitors of all ages.
Mounted in a specially designed 1000
square foot vehicle, the exhibit showcases stories of great Canadians who
have been recognized for their extraordinary achievements with national honours such as the Order of Canada,
Decorations for Bravery & Military Valour Decorations. Featuring interpretative
panels, multimedia elements and artifacts, this unique space provides an opportunity for visitors to learn more about
these honours through an interactive
learning experience.
