    Overview : Early R12 releases did not have lot of diagnostics tests, but R12 RUP3 and RUP4 did have extensive diagnostic tests. These are launched exclusively from within the Oracle e Business Suite and provided through "Oracle Diagnostics Tool" responsibility which needs to be assigned to a pre-defined user meant for managing diagnostic tests. Objective : Find out available diagnostics tests in latest RUP3 & RUP4 and include it in upcoming R12 CC 1.4 (12.0.4) Find out from OPS what are their process and lists of tests run. Work with Development to include and enhance all tests that are relevant for R12 Note : Be aware, not all content available in Release 11i is available yet in Release 12. Development is still working to convert and enhance all tests that are relevant for Release 12. RUP3 and RUP4 lists test catalog are currently available

    Assign Responsibility Follow the instructions below to assign the "Oracle Diagnostics Tool " responsibility (pre-seeded since the April 2006 Diagnostics patch) t Using "System Administrator" Responsiblity: i. Open the "Users" form (Security > User > Define) ii. Query an existing user iii. Add a row in the Responsibilities sub-tab region iv. Select "Oracle Diagnostics Tool" responsibility (Application: " CRM Foundation") from the responsibility LoV v. Click "OK" and save the record Execution Instructions: 1. Go to the following URL: http://server:port_number/OA_HTML/DiagLogin.jsp (e.g. http://myserver.mycompany.com:8000/OA_HTML/DiagLogin.jsp) server = name of the server where eBusiness Suite is installed including domain (e.g. myserver.mycompany.com) port_number = number of the port on which eBusiness Suite is running (e.g. 8000) 2. Click on the 'Here' link in the 'Login' section of the displayed 'Oracle Diagnostics' screen 3. Choose application for which you want to execute a diagnostic test from the 'Application' drop-down list of values 4. Click on the 'Advanced' tab 5. Select the test to execute by clicking on the corresponding link on the left side of the screen 6. Enter input parameters

    7. Click on the 'Run Test' button 8. To review the test output, click on the 'Report' icon displayed in the status line

Is all the tests run as sysadmin or is there a specific OPS "user" that needs to have "Oracle Diagnostic Tool" assigned ? 4. If specific user what should be user name and their priviliges ?
