Robert Woody Rector, Church of Reconciliation, San Antonio Qualifications: Robert has a sense of call and focus on helping mid-wife the church of the future for younger generations, including our kids and grandkids. The diocese needs to focus attention on this reality. Robert wants to help lead in that process. Local Church Activities: During his 11-year tenure at Reconciliation, Robert has led the congregation to be more missionally minded and more connected and focused on the neighbors around the church and their needs. For example, Reconciliation hosts a summer school program in collaboration with the local public elementary school, collaborates with the adjoining apartment complex to host a community garden, and hosts a workshop for developmentally disabled adults on its campus. Diocesan Activities: Robert has served on the Examining Chaplains Committee, the Bishops Sabbatical Team, and the Colorado Adventure Task Force. He helped form and has served as co-chair of the Reconciliation Commission for the past five years.
