MAIN IDEAS
Ghusl means to wash the entire body with water.

1. Command of obligatory shower

1) The delay of the obligatory shower is not advisable.


2) There is a saying in Hadith:
"The Angel will not enter those house that have a statue and a person who are in
condition of impurities (hadas)."

2. The importance actions requiring al-ghusl

1) Discharge of al-mani owing to stimulation while asleep or awake (ejaculate semen)


2) Touching the two circumcised parts (Sexual intercourse).
3) Women and their period (Menses and Nifas).
4) Death.
5) A non-muslim upon embracing Islam.

3. Acts that are forbidden to the impure

1) Prayer.
2) Circumambulating the ka’bah.
3) Touching or carrying the Qur’an.
4) Reciting the Qur’an.

4. Actions which al-ghusl is preferred

1) Before Friday prayers.


2) Performing ghusl for the 'Id prayers.
3) Ghusl for washing a corps.
4) Making Ghusl for Hajj/ Ihram.
5) Making Ghusl upon entering Makkah.
6) Making Ghusl at Mount Arafah.

5. The principles of Ghusl

1) The intention.
2) Washing all bodily parts.

6. The concept how ghusl performed

1) Wash both hands three times.


2) Wash the penis.
3) Make a complete ablution.
4) Rub water through one’s hair three times, letting the water reach down to the root of
the hair.
5) Pour water over the entire body, begining with the right side,then left ,washing under
armpits, inside the ears, navel, toes and whatever part of the body can be easily
rubbed.
