Alstom T&D Bagged Two Contracts of 151 Crore Rupees From GETCO
Previous Current Affair Next Current Affair Alstom T&D India on 9 December 2013 bagged two contracts of 151 crore rupees from Gujarat Energy Transmission Company Ltd (GETCO). The contracts are for supply of 400 KV, 220KV and 66KV AIS substations located at Charanka and Sankhari on turnkey basis to evacuate power from Solar Park of the state. The substation at Charanka and Sankari will play an important role in strengthening transmission network in Gujarat by acting as the evacuation and nodal grid substations. It will also improve the energy flow in the western region of India. The order involves manufacture, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of the 400 KV substations with the key products like 400kV, 220 KV & 66 KV air insulated switchgear and related equipment Alstoms and the SCADA automation system along with the civil works. The equipment will be manufactured at Alstoms world-class manufacturing facilities in India. The project is being developed under ADB Solar Energy schemes to catalyse 3,000 MW of solar power generation projects in ADB developing member countries. As the solar energy will play an essential role, thus these projects will be significant in increasing the share of the renewable energy and green energy mix in India.
