Guarantee This product is covered by a 12 month parts and labour warranty covering failure due to manufacturers defects. This does not cover failure due to misuse or operating outside the scope of this manual. SAFETY SYMBOLS
During normal operation certain parts of this generator will become hot. ALWAYS stay alert and be aware of hot components / surfaces. Allow the engine to cool before attempting to move, clean or maintain the generator.
There is a very real risk of electric shock if this generator is not used in the correct manner. NEVER Use or expose the generator or any thing connected to it to wet conditions . The fuel used to run this generator (unleaded petrol) is highly flammable. Never re-fuel the generator whilst it is still running. Store un used fuel safely and away from children.
Caution: Exhaust fumes are poisonous. Do not operate this generator in enclosed areas.

TROUBLESHOOTING

USE UNLEADED PETROL (OCTANE RATING: 95 RON) Check the oil level in the crank case of the engine before starting the generator. The oil level should be positioned between the Maximum and Minimum levels of the threaded filler.

STARTING YOUR GENERATOR Step 1: Turn on fuel tap. Step 2: Turn on the engine switch. Step 3: Move choke lever to closed position.
Choke Lever Fuel Tap Engine Switch
Remove spark plug with the plug spanner supplied Inspect the spark plug. It should be a tan colour If necessary adjust the gap. (See technical spec) Replace the spark plug with correct torque:20nm REPLACE SPARK PLUG IF RQUIRED
EXHAUST SCREEN
Wait until the exhaust is cool. Remove any carbon deposits that may be building up. Undo the screw cap and remove the exhaust screen. Clean with wire brush and refit If exhaust screen is damaged, replace it. Step 4: Pull slowly on the starter cord until it engages, then pull sharply to start the engine. Step 5: Allow the engine to run until it warms up, then move the choke lever to the open position. Step 6: Plug in the power cord and switch the AC switch to ON.

AIR FILTER
Do not run engine without the air filter fitted. Unscrew the air filter cover Remove filter and wash well in solvent Pour a small amount of oil onto the filter element and gently squeeze out any excess oil. Replace the filter element and filter cover Ensure the filter cover seals correctly

Remove fuel filler cap. Remove fuel filter and wash in solvent

STOPPING YOUR GENERATOR STEP 1: Turn off the AC power switch STEP 2: Unplug all power cords STEP 3: Turn engine switch to off

Place the generator on level ground Remove filler cap Open drain plug and collect oil in a suitable container Check gaskets, replace if required. Re-fit drain plug and refill with suitable oil (0.6Ltr) Replace filler cap.
