Thank you for your purchase of YM-718 Multifunctional LCD Electronic Keyboard. It has a strong expressive force with a beautiful appearance. It provides you with an easy way to learn and play the keyboard. This keyboard is not only a perfect musical instrument for beginners but also an ideal instrument in musical education as well as for entertainment. Please read the guide carefully before you use our product and please keep it for reference.
PRECAUTIONS
Use the specified adapter only. Using the wrong adapter can result in damage to the instrument or overheating.If the AC adapter cord or plug becomes frayed or damaged, or if there is a sudden loss of sound during use of the instrument, or if any unusual smells or smoke appear to be caused by it, immediately turn off the power switch, disconnect the adapter plug from the outlet, and have the instrument inspected by qualified service personnel. Turn off the power and unplug from the power outlet ( do not take off the plug by pulling the cord) when not using the keyaboard so as to avoide the burning internal parts or arosing fire by the long time connection to the power. Make the safekeeping of the plastice packing bag to avoid the suffocation happening when a child ammuses itself by puttingits head into it. The keyboard surface should be kept cleanness to avoid the eyewinkers into the instrument through the small openings of the switch or gaps between the keys; Timely cleaning the appearance of the keyboard with soft cloth is needed and keep the keyboard away fromwater vapour. Do not expose the instrument in the strong sunlight for a long time. The keyboard should be stored in a dry place when it is not in use. Do be careful with the keyboard when it needs to move. Strong vibration or collision is forbidden so as to avoid the damage of the frame or the internal parts. The instrument must be kept away from the acidity or alkaline matters and do not play the instrument in an eroding gas circumstance to avoid the malfunctional connection caused by lines oxidation.The electronic keyboard belongs to precise instrument, so any of the modification will result in malfunction. Once the failure happens, do please take it to a professional after-service department or experienced technicians. Do not dismantle or assemble the components inside at will.

2.Power Supply
To Use Batteries
Insert Batteries Turn upside the keyboard and open the battery compartment cover. Insert eight 1.5V D size R20P (Lr20) or equivalent batteries. Be sure of following the polarity marks inside the compartment. Batteries Used up When the batteries are nearly exhausted, the electronic keyboard can not work normally or the sound is distorted, replace the complete eight batteries.

CAUTION
Unplug the AC adapter when not using the electronic keyboard.
To Use AC Adapter
Use only the AC Adapter attached to power your instrument from the AC mains. The use of other adapters may result in irreparable damage to the electronic keyboard. The method to use AC adapter is to put one end into the jack at the side of the keyboard and the other into the outlet of AC mains.
Either AC adapter or batteries can be used in the keyboard, but AC adapter is suggested because it is propitious to environmental protection.
3.External Ports
Insert the plug of the microphone into MIC socket at the rear panel of the keyboard and you can enjoy private playing and singing. Insert the plugs of the amplifier into LINE OUT at the rear panel of the keyboard and the performance effect will be enhanced. EARPHONE Insert the plug of earphone into EARPHONE socket and you can Fig. 2 play the keyboard without disturbing others. (Fig. 2) The microphone and earphone are not included with the instrument.

II. Operation
Power Supply (Fig. 3) Press the POWER button with LCD displaying LAMP on and you can start the performance. In the mode of Play and Record , the note keys will not work. Demo Songs (Fig. 4) Press DEMO ONE button or DEMO ALL button in any mode and the keyboard will start songs. Stop the playing song by pressing any one of the STOP , DEMO ONE or DEMO ALL buttons. Demo One Function Press DEMO ONE button and the keyboard starts playing song. When the song is over it will be re-played automatically. Press DEMO ALL button and the keyboard enter the demo all mode. After one song is finished, the next will go on automatically.

Press VOICE button and select one of the 100 voices through numeric keypad 0~9 or through + - .The default voice is piano when power is turned on.
4 Style (Fig.5)
In the normal mode (In the STOP mode), press STYLE button to select one of the 100 styles through the numeric keypad 0~9 and then press START/STOP button to enter or quit the mode. While the style starts, six keys (white and black) are in effect at one time during playing the keyboard. In the normal playing, there are eight keys in effect. STYLE can be altered through while the style is working on.

Press PERCUSSION button with KDRM displaying on the LCD window and the keyboard will be shifted to percussion-keyboard and press PERCUSSION button again to quit the function.

Effect
Effects includes vibrato, sustain and echo, which can be used to enrich the performance effect.

Master volume control: rotate MASTER VOLUME knob and the volume will increase or decrease. The master volume will also influence the volume of the keyboard and accompaniment as well. Accompaniment volume control, which is only in effect for rhythm and chord. Press ACCOMP. VOLUME button once and the volume increases or decreases by one level. There are 8 levels in all. Press ACCOMP. VOLUME and buttons at the same time and the volume will recover its initial setting. (The default is 5 levels).

Press TEMPO or button once and the tempo will increase or decrease by one level. Press TEMPO and at the same time and the tempo will recover its initial setting (32 levels). In the normal mode or in the mode of synchronization, the tempo parameter can be adjusted. To start the style after the adjustment, the style will be played in accordance with the preset tempo parameter.

Transpose, which is only in effect for the normal performance. Press TRANSPOSE or button, and the playing white or black key to its related tone will be up or down by 0.5Va. Once you press the TRANSPOSE and buttons at the same time, the pitch of the whole keyboard will go back to its initial setting. 000 presents the normal pitch tone, which can be adjusted over a range of 6 semitones.

Press METRONOME in the normal mode or in the mode of recording, there are 4 types of beat to be selected among 1/4,2/4, 3/4, 4/4. (Fig. 11)

Press RECORD button to enter the recording mode. Press note keys under the mode of recording, the played notes will be recorded into the keyboard. Please notice that only one note can be recorded at a time and 64 notes can be recorded at most. Press PLAY button and the recorded notes will playback in order. After the playing is over, the new recording could get started. Once the storage is full, the playing sound can be heard but not be recorded any more. The timbre can be changed while playing the recorded notes. (Fig.12) Quit the mode of recording or playing by pressing STOP button.(Fig. 12)

Press PROGRAM button in the mode of non-program to enter the mode of program. Press PERCUSSION button on the keyboard panel and the related drums will be programmed into the keyboard. Note that only one sound of the drums can be programmed at a time and the maximum program notes can not be over 16. Press PLAY button, and the self-programed drums will be playing in order, which forms a self-programed rhythm. Quit the program mode by pressing PROGRAM or STOP button. (Fig.13)
