DATRON offers: CNC machine tools for high-speed milling, drilling and engraving various materials, such as Aluminium, plastics, dental and ceramic materials, Steel (fine machining), composites and Graphite. With speeds of up to 60,000 rpm, high manufacturing speeds and good results are achieved. Dispensing machines for precise and fast gluing and sealing ("VDispenser"). The precise-volume DATRON dispensing technology is the leader worldwide and is patent-protected. Thanks to the high dispensing quality and speed of the systems, high cost advantages result in series production. Tools for high-speed machining In high-speed machining, the quality of the tools decisively determines the machining results. DATRON Automation solutions Automated production processes allow nearly constant production quality and high productivity. DATRON will support you in implementing your automation processes from the very beginning. With sound know-how in the area of sensors, process automation and process monitoring, DATRON also fulfils complex wishes and requirements for integrated and highly automated manufacturing solutions. The most effective automation solution usually comes from using DATRON standard machines. We also build and manufacture modular special-purpose machines upon request for large batch production or special requirements.
DATRON offers Indumatik light A closed automatic machine for automating small and medium batch production. Being connected to the side of the DATRON CNC machine, it is ready for use directly. Indumatik light is a special, compact system which elegantly combines milling, clamping and automation. In no-personnel operation, up to nine different programs can be run, one after the other. DATRON pick-and-place system The DATRON pick-and-place system ("PAP") was specially developed for the handling of small workpieces. It consists of a program-controlled gripper, which is directly attached to the Z axis of the CNC machine. The pick-and-place system is directly controlled via the CNC control. DATRON automatic lift gate With the short opening and closing times of only two seconds, the setup and non-productive times can be drastically reduced during CNC machining by the DATRON lift gate. In addition, the lift gate makes automatic loading possible, e.g. by robots. Customer-specific automation solutions Whether partial or full automation DATRON offers experience from a multitude of automation projects. High-frequency spindles, tool changers and cooling/lubricating systems Our design engineers and application experts have selected the highfrequency machining spindles with special care. With dynamic control, durable temperature control and cooling devices and the robust tool changers, we guarantee precision and productivity. Together with the optimal tools and the minimum quantity cooling/lubrication systems, you're getting the finest cutting technology.
Sensors and automation Maximum production safety is standard with DATRON. Intelligent sensors monitor all operating states of the mechanics and the control. Tools are automatically measured and tool breakage is reliably detected. With the unique DATRON XYZ sensors, you even compensate for material tolerances fully automatically. This is an important precondition, especially for fully automatic operation without personnel. For this purpose DATRON offers an especially economical solution with the Indumatik light system.
Clamping technique Clamping raw parts must go quickly and easily! Who can afford long non-productive times nowadays? With DATRON clamping modules and clamping elements, you can fix the parts to be machined quickly, securely and with low vibrations.

High-quality and, at the same time, economic manufacturing requires high speeds for a high cutting capacity with smaller tools. With speeds of up to 60,000 rpm and high-quality precision bearings, DATRON machining spindles offer the solution for sophisticated precision cutting. The following high-frequency spindles are available: PowerS powerful and especially precise high-frequency spindles with HSK-E tool inserts. Ideal for high quality and efficiency in power cutting. Speeds of up to 40,000 rpm and high cutting capacity. HighS for high-speed machining: HighS high-frequency spindles with automatic tool change for milling, drilling and engraving; for easier high-speed machining. EcoS HighS high-frequency spindles with automatic HSK-E cone tool changer. For especially precise milling, drilling and engraving, the HighS machining spindles are equipped with the HSK-E cone tool changer. Material surfaces
A material surface is measured by means of point-like digitalisation. The created height profile is immediately corrected by the CNC or engraving program. Advantage: Also uneven or imprecisely clamped workpieces can be absolutely precisely machined at the right depth. Application examples: Finding the centre of cylindrical bodies; apply precise chamfers or radii (e.g. on view windows, for front plates); rough digitalisation of a mould for further processing in the CAD system; engraving on curved surfaces; setting the workpiece zero point on the material surface; milling switch breakouts in curved passenger car consoles; engraving with constant width on materials which have thickness tolerances; exact countersinking, drilling and milling of woodwind instruments (e.g. raw oboes); introducing screw counterbores, always at the right depth, even on large boards; midpoint determination of an internal rectangle; exact depth machining of acrylics or other plastics with thickness tolerances; machining PCB circuit cards specifically in one layer; engraving stamps or cutting dies on concave surfaces.

Sensor Z TP-D
Type TP-D is for more simple measurements, e.g. in the case of engravings, designed for achieving constant engraving depths. It provides a measuring accuracy of 0.05 mm. The type TP-D is characterised by its especially low probing forces and is therefore also suitable for soft and sensitive surfaces. To avoid damage to the probing head, the probe tip has an intended breaking point, where it breaks if it is overloaded, and it can be easily exchanged. Special probe tip for DATRON probing head TP-D For surfaces which are even more curved, small workpieces or workpieces with small geometries, a probe tip with a radius of 0.5 mm is available. Bore holes from 1.2 mm in diameter can be measured with the special probe tip. The special probe tip has higher precision for workpieces with inclines. Sensitive surfaces should be measured with the standard probe tip, since the load per unit area is lower here due to the larger radius. TP-R
The TP-R sensor, as opposed to the TP-D sensor, is characterised by its higher measuring precision of +/- 0.01 mm. The process safety is increased with the TP-R sensor since the probing head is fastened to the swivel arm with a magnetic coupling, which disengages if the horizontal forces are too high before damage can occur. The TP-R sensor also reacts exactly and measures exactly to the point, even when the mechanics have increased vibration behaviour. Various probe tips are available as accessories for the TP-R precision sensor. The DATRON pick-and-place system (PAP) was specially developed for the handling of small workpieces. It consists of a program-controlled gripper, which is directly attached to the Z axis of the CNC machine. The pick-and-place system is controlled via the CNC control. Customised grippers take up small workpieces with a positive fit and with high positioning accuracy. The pick-and-place system allows loading and unloading to be done automatically in workpiece carriers, such as pallets, pneumatic clamping chucks, rotary/swivel axes and other depots. The use of the special cardboard, DATRON VacuCard, drastically simplifies the application of vacuum clamping technology. Thanks to this microperforated special cardboard, the time-consuming and tedious covering of unused clamping areas is no longer necessary. The tedious handling of sealing strips is now a thing of the past! The VacuCard also serves as sacrificial layer. This way, your vacuum clamping plate will be effectively protected from damage. - Patent pending The VacuCard++ is an especially well-adhering piece of cardboard, which is used as a sacrificial layer between the workpiece and the vacuum plate. With the DATRON CleanCut System, chips can be removed very efficiently. Nearly chip-free working is possible thanks to this suctioning technology developed especially for plate machining. Time-consuming machine clean ing is no longer necessary. Due to non-contact removal of chips, CleanCut suctioning is also suitable for highly sensitive surfaces. The automatic extension/retraction of the suction head also saves time. Tool measurement and 3D measurement can be performed without any restrictions. If the suction funnel disturbs during machining, it can remain fixed in the retracted position or be dismantled. With the optionally available four-nozzle cooling lubrication head, you can remove chips and effectively cool the machining tool at the same time. This combination of suction and minimum quantity cooling leaves almost no residue. Note: The portal passage is reduced by CleanCut from 200 mm to 160 mm. CleanCut must be operated with suitable minimum lubrication. The DATRON CNC software offers high performance with easiest handling for the operator at the same time. This is reached by means of a clearly structured user interface based on Windows, intuitive user guidance and the programming of plain language commands. The 2.5D CAD/CAM system PrimCAM implements the philosophy of DATRON machine software consistently for the CAD/CAM area: Easy to learn, easy to operate, but still powerful.
