PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Aug 2002 - Present: Drilling Manager Premier Oil Natuna and Premier Vietnam Responsible for the Operational Management of a two well exploration programme in Natuna Sea with a semi-submersible. Responsible for the project management of multiple well programmes offshore Vietnam with both jack ups and semi-submersibles new country entry for Premier Oil. Managed pressure drilling, development extended reach drilling and intelligent completions, semi-submersibles 300 m + water depth. Drilling Superintendent Seconded to Kufpec Indonesia Seconded to Kufpec Indonesia as Drilling Superintendent for land drilling and workover operations on Seram Island, Eastern Indonesia using an underbalanced drilling system in a fractured subnormally pressured limestone reservoir. A development well re-entry required a medium radius build of 26 deg/100 ft whilst utilising an underbalanced drilling spread with crude oil and nitrogen injection. Over 170 people were required to be accommodated on site with all the attendant logistical and HSE implications to be controlled.

July 1998 June Drilling Manager 2000: Premier Oil Natuna Sea Indonesia Drilling Manager based in Jakarta responsible for the overall control and direction of all Premier Oil Indonesia drilling and testing operations. Operational activity was extremely diverse including jackup exploration and appraisal drilling in Natuna Sea and Offshore East Java, platform workovers and development wells including high angle and horizontal wells, and subsea well workover, drilling and completion. Initially assigned to drilling one well with a swamp barge, and latterly with overseeing the reactivation of a drill ship in Singapore and drilling wells in Irian Jaya and South Java.
