The more math you know, the more successful you can be in a career. In your math journal, make a list of careers. Think of what your parents, relatives, and neighbors do for a living. Think of the things you might want to do for a living. Then choose two careers from your list. Research the ones you chose. If possible, talk to people who have the types of jobs that you are investigating. Report how math is involved in their jobs in your journal. Then write one word problem a person in that career might have to solve. Solve your problem 3. Land vs. Population: In a book of facts such as an almanac or on reputable websites like: https://www.cia.gov/library/publications/the-world-factbook/ find statistical information about five countries that interest you. You are going to compare the population to the land area of each country. Record this data in your math journal. Next, calculate the amount of land each person would own if all the land in this country was shared evenly. Do this for all five countries. Finally, answer the following questions. Are the results of your calculations reasonable? Are there factors we havent considered when distributing land this way? List these factors in your math journal. How
