Switch partner after every song, planning committee members start to walk around. See [1] Emcees will facilitate with a specific set of lines for each gender.
[1] At the last song, emcees will shout freeze all of a sudden. They will then continue to point out the planning committee members (pcm) who are holding big cut-out hearts. Following that, a couple standing nearest to the pcm will be asked to go on stage to play a game. -Note: Planning committee will be on the steps in front of the elevated platform dancing to the music as well. Mini Game: 1. Couple will be asked up on stage. 2. Their task is to eat a chocolate pocky concurrently, starting to eat from opposite sides of the biscuit. 3. When the couple is unwilling to go any further, we will measure the length of the remaining piece of biscuit and the couple with the smallest length wins! 4. As for the couples that lost, the guys have to piggyback the girls down the elevated platform. Limitations: 1. House members may not feel comfortable dancing with the opposite sex or are unwilling to dance. Solutions: 1. Masks are provided to conceal their identities so that they will not know who they are dancing with, hence making the atmosphere more comfortable with people knowing that they will not be recognized. 2. Planning committee members will be walking among the pairs so as to ensure that everyone is dancing. 3. Planning committee will be dancing on the steps in front of the elevated platform as well so that the house members will not feel awkward dancing.
Safety precautions: 1. Students may trip and fall in the course of dancing.
2. Students might knock down the jars at the side and hence, presence of broken glasses and/or stained by light stick fluid. 3. Students may accidentally fall while piggybacking their partners during the mini game. Prevention: 1. Planning comm members will be walking around to ensure nobody fools around and hurts themselves in the process. 2. Jars will be placed a safe distance away from the dance floor to minimise the risk of knocking them over. 3. Planning comm members will be on standby at each couple at all times to stabilise the students if they seem as if theyre about to fall. 4. First aid kits will be loaned from SJAB in case of any injuries. 3. DRAG-ON (Mass games) I/Cs: Vanessa (Chong), Joelle, Dengjing, Jiaying Location: Basketball court and canteen Objective: One guy and one girl is supposed to form a pair and collect the most number of pegs. Each individual will start of as singles. Each guy will start off with 5 pegs on his back Only girls are able to snatch pegs off the guys back. As long as the girl is within peripheral vision of the guy, she is not allowed to snatch the pegs Each guy and girl must come together to form a pair by registering at a booth The pair can only break up once they have zero pegs The pair with the most pegs win. Unpaired individuals will do forfeit.
Details Guys have to convince the girls to trust them with their pegs. Girls will also have to snatch as many pegs as they can so as for the guys to accept them. Facils must be very alert to ensure fairplay of the game. 1. Make sure couples without any pegs have to break up. 2. Make sure girls have to peg all their pegs onto the guy If any couple stays in the canteen for too long, comm members are allowed to attack them so as to chase them out. In the middle of the game if it gets too boring, facils may be activated to snatch pegs as well. If many people have to break up, facils may be activated to throw free pegs around to give chance. At the end of game play, couple with the most pegs accumulated will be crowned. Whereas people who are still single will be given a forfeit (positive and negative incentives for them to play hard): - Guys: Bright red lipstick - Girls: Tentatively moustache and beard drawn on with lipstick/face paint, to be reconfirmed Detailed timeline Time 1930-1950 Activity Settle down Y5s & 6s, commence briefing Conducted by Ics Remarks To gather all Planning Comm Members and deploy them to respective stations at parade square/basketball court Comm to be stationed at respective stations Comm to gather back
