A. Summary of the Lesson Plan: (2 sentences) This social studies lesson is designed for 1 st grade students to learn about peoples jobs and how they earn money. This lesson will have students learning about careers by the people who do them. Day 3 of 3 in careers. B. E. Procedure: (numbered steps) 1. Have the students sit in circle time and read Career Day By Anne Rockwell. 2. Explain to the students that the parents are coming to explain their careers to them 3. Have them go back to their seats 4. Have the parents one by one explain their careers and how they earn their money 5. As the parents are done let the students ask questions .

I will measure the students understanding by what questions they ask the parents Explain how you will know students understand the concepts from the lesson. I will know that the students understood the concepts by the questions they ask. G. Reflection: (answers to assignment specific questions) 1. Which part of the lesson do you think will be the easiest for you to teach? The easiest part for me to teach is the parents coming in and them talking. 2. Which part will be most challenging for you to teach? The most challenging part of the lesson is seeing how the students understood what the parents told them. 3. How will you follow up or extend this lesson? I would extend this lesson by having the students take notes while the parents are talking.. 4. What will you do for students who dont grasp the concepts? If the students don't understand the concept of what the parents are saying I will take them aside and explain it to them. 5. Which part of the lesson, if any, do you think might need to change?

The part I would change in this lesson is what the children are doing while the parents are talking. 6. When you were writing this lesson plan, what was the most difficult part? The most difficult part of this lesson was trying to figure out how to get the parents involved.
