    Define the RJPs: Realistic job previews (RJPs) are devices used in the early stages of personnel selection

    to provide potential applicants with information on both positive and negative aspects of the job (Premack & Wanous, 1985). Importance of RJPs: It is critical to allow employees to obtain a balanced view of the positive and negative aspects of the position. Discrepancies between the applicant of the position and the actual operational requirements of the job role may lead to lower commitment levels and increased turnover. A RJP works by providing applicants with information that clarifies their expectations and allows them to have a more realistic perspective of the role. By providing a well-designed and consistent RJP process to all potential employees, the organization can reduce turnover and increase commitment by allowing the employer to match job requirements with the applicant's qualities and the applicant to match their personal needs with the position requirements and the organizational culture. My view: Realistic job preview is different from organization to organization.it depends on many things such as the type of organization at broad level. Along with this, in organization it depends on sector to sector. The realistic job preview is different from educational organization to pharmaceutical organization same as agriculture organization is different from organization. Realistic job preview also depends on organization size.as well a public and private sector. Realistic job preview also varies from designation to designation in a single sector. The responsibilities, skills and knowledge require for one designation will be different from other. For example; there are different realistic job preview for executive, manager, clerk etc. In present assignment the realistic job preview of education organization is described. The main feature of any educational organization is to teach. In addition management, administration and to make standard for competing with other education institute are also included. Educational institute is broadly divided in to three categories; school, college and university .the job demand and according to job the realistic job preview will also vary in all three sectors. Along with this in each level the realistic job preview will be depend on designation. I mentioned here the realistic job preview for the teaching faculty of Government College:

    Example of Work: It May include, but not limited to the following:

    Teach the classes; prepares course materials such as syllabi, homework assignments, and

    handouts; evaluate and grade students' class work, laboratory work, assignments, and papers maintains student attendance records, grades; advise students on academic and vocational curricula, and on career issues ;all appropriate books of all concerned subjects are made available in the library for students; present effective lectures, workshops, and seminars
    for students in a wide variety of subject areas; responds to specific requests for informational and educational programs; prepare questions papers for midterm and final term of the semester; arrange study as well as recreational tours; conduct meetings with colleges regarding teaching and research issues. Administrative duties along with teaching may also include. Work Schedule: The work timing is 5-6 hours per day but it can vary according to working condition. Work Location: The location for teaching is college but it can be out door in term of educational visits, workshop or seminars. Locational different places are also included timely. Job Benefits: The main benefit for government job is the assured of job security if not legal issues arise. All the facilities such as medical, educational, transport are given.alongwith this the working condition is flexible usually. Pay scale increases after defined time period. Sonority is given. After retirement pension is given.
