Zonecheck connects into a wet-pipe sprinkler system using two mechanical couplings (sized to match pipe diameter). Approved zonecheck equipment shall be installed throughout the property in accordance with the code standards for zoning.
Standards
In the majority of multi-occupancy sprinklered premises it is a requirement of NFPA 25 that for every tted ow-switch a functional test should be carried out every quarter. Zonecheck can carry out this ow-switch test automatically at a preset time each week. Zonecheck is currently approved by Factory Mutual, Underwriters Laboratories, Underwriters Laboratories Canada.
Operating Principle
The Zonecheck pump re-circulates water around the ow switch at a pressure equal to one sprinkler head discharging water (0.5 bar). As water operates the ow-switch paddle, an electronic signal is sent back to the keyswitch to indicate that the ow-switch has operated correctly. Throughout the whole process water is being re-circulated within the system and no water is discharged Zonecheck is a closed system.
Technical Detail
Zonecheck is supplied as an assembled unit to minimum schedule 10 pipe. Supplied with rolled ends, an end-end distance of 25.6 with black paint nish. Zonecheck is available in the following pipe diameters: 2, 2 1/2, 3, 4.
