Sam Moran Returns To TV With His Own Musical Series On Nick JR., Play Along With Sam
As a parent myself, I understand how important trust is for a family audience. Nick Jr. is a strongly trusted name both here and around the world. I am very proud of this collaboration and our new association. Play Along with Sam will invite littlies to explore their world through rhythm, music and movement. It is a welcome addition to Nick Jr.s suite of shows, which are firmly grounded in the early childhood education philosophy of learning through play. Music, participation and repetition are central to a preschoolers life and these aspects are also core to Play Along with Sam, as he leads them on a discovery path through movement, music, letters, wordplay, imaginative games, problem solving and more. With developmental learning a focus within the show, the Play Along with Sam series will be highly interactive. Set in Sams playroom, Sam is eager to share the things he discovers, and while he loves music best of all, he will also use games, dance and sound. Regular segments include daily songs celebrating everyday things, rhyming riddles that the kids at home can help Sam solve, fun and energetic one-minute dance parties that teach kids new dance steps, and special sound adventures where Sam captures and releases mystery sounds that the kids help him identify. Play Along with Sam will air from Monday May 6 on Nick Jr. from 10.00am - midday in a dedicated weekday morning music block wrapped around top rating programmes: The Fresh Beat Band, Team Umizoomi, Bubble Guppies and Dora the Explorer. Play Along with Sam will be produced in-house by Nickelodeon Australia for Foxtel. Executive Producer, and Nickelodeons Creative Director and Head of Production, Kristie Phelan, is working closely with Sam Moran and multi-talented Que Minh Luu, who is series writer, producer, director and editor. A colourful playroom set for the Play Along with Sam series reflective of Nick Jr. channels current on-air 3D world will be created by Julio Himede, and graphics are by The DMCI. World Premiere of Play Along with Sam: Monday May 6 at 10.00am on Nick Jr. (Channel 703), exclusive to Foxtel.
