There are many harmful effects due to smoking and it is an addictive habit. Cigarette also kills millions of life worldwide annually. Yet, its not declared as illegal as drugs. This is because tobaccos based products contribute huge amount revenue for a government in a year. The taxes, advertisements and etc give billions to them .Banning the cigarrate only cause a huge loses to the government.
Smokers are more likely to get cancer than non-smokers. Lung cancer, throat cancer and mouth cancer, will easily attack the smokers. The more cigarettes that we smoke in a day, and the longer we smoked, the higher your risk of lung cancer.
The chances of death also increase cause by cigarrate. The chances of stroke and heart diseases are higher for the smoker.
The smokes of cigarrate also affect the other non-smoker if they inhale it. The effects for them are exactly same damaging as smoke inhaled by users. For example, Babies born to mothers who smoke during pregnancy are twice as likely to be born prematurely and with a low birth weight.
The spouse and their children of smoker also have higher chance to get cancer. Children who grow up in a home where one or both of their parents smoke have twice the risk of getting asthma and asthmatic bronchitis. They also have a higher risk of developing allergies.
3. Is second hand smoke from cigarettes dangerous to people? Give your reasons. (3 marks)
Yes. The second hand smoke has the same dangerous risk to the other nonsmoker. The 'side-stream' smoke that comes off a cigarette between puffs carries a higher risk than directly inhaled smoke. The risks are the same for the non-smoker.
4. Does an advertisement play a role in promoting smoking? Give a reason for your answer. (3 marks)
Yes. Cigaratte advertising enhances the possibility of smoking especially for adolescents. Advertising is the one of the easiest method that influences the adolescents. The introduction of the cigarrate will be familiar with or responsive
to them. Finally its has become a potential way to make new smoker among the adolescents. For example the cartoon character Joe camels advertisement promotes the sales of camel cigarette. According to the writer, the character of the animation influences the adolescent in smoking which express them as cool.

Smoking is restricted or banned in almost all public places and cigarette companies are no longer allowed to advertise on TV, radio, and in many magazines. But why people are still smoking although the price and tax increases every year. The answer is addiction. Smoking is a hard habit to break down because its contains nicotine which causing addictive. So, it does consider a drug also. But the government yet not declared it as illegals product. Its because tobaccos based product gives huge revenue to the government which makes them to closed their eyes The death cause by smoking is increasing day to day. The chances to get critical illness such as cancer, heart diseases and stoke are higher. The risk also consider to the passive smoker who inhale second hand smoke. The smokes of cigarrate also affect the other non-smoker if they inhale it. The effects for them are exactly same damaging as smoke inhaled by users. Quitting from smoking is the best way to create healthier community in our nation. Nowadays, there is a lot of ways which encourage in quitting smoking such as laser therapy, acupuncture, hypnosis. This not only promotes the heartier life for them but also gives benefit to the people who loves them
