Adverbs tell how something happens. (Adjective + ly) Examples :


Some adverbs tell when something happens. (last week, tomorrow, now, a year, etc) Examples :

I will go for another run tonight. Soon, I will be the fittest student in class.

Exercise regularly. Walk briskly at least three times a week.

Some adverbs tell where. (away, there, nearby,etc.) Examples :


I jogged westward to the river. I ran everywhere, pounding the ground and feeling as free as a bird.

Underline the correct comparative and superlative adverbs. Fill in the blanks with suitable adverbs of manner. 1. The boy _________________ defended himself from the dog. 2.
