Introduction
Culture literal meaning is what how you cultivate or build oneself. Cult or build in multi-directionally i.e. in ethically socially even in all aspects of that lead human development. Every culture is enriched with some good and bad features Indian Culture, which is one of the oldest & richest cultures, is now days posing a serious threat as western culture is establishing its strong base in India and slowly and gradually wiping the Indian culture. It had already made its presence in Metros & now slowly heading towards other parts of India. Westernization has greatly affected our traditions, customs, our family and our respect and love for others. The concept of joint families is fastly decreasing every one wants to remain aloof from others. No body now bother about others and only cares about himself which is totally contradictory to our Indian culture which teaches to be a part of each other Joys and Sorrows to celebrate the moments together and share the grief together. Slowly all our values for which India has the pride is vanishing & western culture is taking its place. People are blindly following the western culture without knowing its consequences. Westernization has given rise to single families. Marriages are fastly breaking & our tolerance and patience has given the answer. The most effected are our new blooms, which have sprouted they find themselves stressed and isolated in this new atmosphere as there is no one to take care of them. They will not get the care and love of their Grand parents and they find themselves in crutches were some others will take care of them. It is very unfortunate that the new sprouts remain untouched and cut off from our moral values and sanskaras. In todays Scenario were both husband & wife are working there is no one at home to look after them to inherit the sanskaras in them as our elders who gives these sanskaras to their grand

children are not with them. To many cases it is not deliberate but in majority of case the children prefers to remain away from their parents which is very unfortunate. Theres no harm in taking good things from western but this does not mean that we should completely adopt it and pretend to be western and misrepresent our identity. It is understandable that India is growing in every field and there is necessity of knowing all the cultures and their traditions. To some extent it is fine but we should not pretend that we dislike the Indian values and likes only western culture. We have to preserve our identity. One thing should be always kept in mind that western world is looking India for its honesty and its rich Cultural heritage. It is shocking to see that Indians are forgetting their culture and western people are seeing India for obtaining salvation. They are coming here for seeking the true peace, which is total absent there. India has earned a good name in the field of Yoga and meditation were our gurus are giving teachings to western countries how to relax themselves & how to keep themselves away from disease were in India it is contradictory to it. People are only seeing money as necessity and for the same they do any thing, which is very shocking. Westernization or Westernization (see spelling differences), also occidentalization or occidentalisation (from the Occident, meaning the Western World; see "occident" in the dictionary), is a process whereby societies come under or adopt Western culture in such matters as industry, technology, law, politics, economics, lifestyle, diet, language, alphabet, religion, philosophy, values. Westernization has been a pervasive and accelerating influence across the world in the last few centuries. It is usually a two-sided process, in which Western influences and interests themselves are joined by a wish of at least parts of the affected society to change towards a more Westernized society, in the hope of attaining Western life or some aspects of it. Cultural exchange has always been a fact of history. Long ago, Marco Polo traveled from Italy to China and traded his European goods for Chinese tea and silk. He also brought the stories and culture of China back to Europe. But, throughout world history, the flow has always been slow and the exchanges very limited. Today, culture and goods flow into and out of every nation on earth. One hundred years ago, all manufactured goods came from either the United States or Europe. 6

During the 19th century, the technology and science of Europe fueled the Age of Imperialism. Explorations, which started in the 15th Century, spread Western culture to the Americas, Asia and Africa. Europe had global supremacy and the whole world was under her influence. In Europe and America, prosperity brought advances in democracy, the arts, and human health and longevity.

The Role of Women in Present Scenario

The women that is not simply mere a word but she is the creator of this whole universe. A woman is recognized in different forms. She is a girl, wife, sister and above all the soft hearted mother. From all the forms described above she is best recognized as a mother. The mother who is caring, loving and the person who is responsible for inheriting the true sanskaras to the family/to the whole community. It is the woman who carries the sanskaras and dharma forward. The woman as a wife has lot of responsibilities. The whole family relies on her. When Women become wife she has lot of tasks which have to be accomplished by her. These tasks are both simple and tedious but it is the woman who with her courage and inner strength manages all the tasks well. Women is the most beautiful and important creation of God whom the God has given an unending patience, tolerance and above all a heart full of love. But this does not mean that women are weak and should be subjected to any kind of torture. It should be noted that whenever the Atrocities were done against women they have took the form Of Maa kali, Durga, Rani Lakshmi Bhai and many more and vanishing all the demons. At homes women are ill treated and subjected to torture and brutalities that home never prospers. That home has to pass through tough times and poverty and darkness comes to that home. In the homes were women are respected and given love and affection that home shines like a star in the sky. Happiness always remain

in that home and Mata Laxmi always remains in its true form in that home .No Trouble can dare to enter that home. But in spite of knowing the truth the brutalities on women in the name of dowry or any other things are increasing. In some cases the women who is unable to bring the required dowry is subjected to various types of tortures. In some worst cases she is even burnt to death by her in laws. I appeal to all to say no to this evil devil and accept the women in its true form.

Now we should move to other form of the women which is also important to explain. When the women is married and she comes to her hubbies's home the first thing which she tells is that she does not want to remain with her in-laws and in this way the men are separated from their parents which is not a good thing. She must understand that the her, in-laws are also like their father and mother who have sacrificed every thing for his child and it is due to their sacrifices that he (Husband has attained this position). The wife must understand it fully which will only come when she has inherited good sanskaras from her family. The parents are next to god and we should give due respect and regards to our parents. This is our tradition and dharma. One thing should be kept in mind when women becomes some body's wife and left her original home and goes to her hubbie's home. She should forget her ancestral home and accept her hubbie's home as her final home and should try to induce her good sanskaras which she has inherited from her parents in her new home as much as possible. She should act like a Diplomat and should make the home really like an heaven on earth and only the women has the power to do it no body else can do it. I know that today's women are liberal, modern and self dependent. This does not means that they should forget their age old sanskaras but they should blend both the things well and i am sure that they can do it.

CAUSES AND EFFECTS:

There are a few things that need to be considered when comparing Eastern and Western Europe, in cultural terms. The first is that there are several "Eastern Europes", and not really one. The Czech Republic, for example, is rather quite different from Romania or Bulgaria. The relevant line of demarcation is not only the political one that was imposed post1945, but also the cultural faultlines *within* Eastern Europe. For example, countries that have been, historically, associated with the West (such as the Czech Republic, Slovenia, Croatia) are clearly much more easily integrated with contemporary "Western" Europe than are countries that have been divided from the West for centuries (such as Serbia, Romania, Bulgaria, etc.). There are many different Eastern Europes, rather than one unified entity one can analyze as "Eastern Europe". The second is that there remains a substantial divide between Catholic and Orthodox culture in Eastern Europe. That cultural faultline (which often, but not always, ran parallel with the political faultline) is very much alive and well today, regardless of actual religious practice among the population at large - it is a cultural, rather than a theological, issue. Ukraine splits down the middle between a Westernsympathetic Catholic West and a Russian-sympathetic Orthodox East. Serbians and Croatians are very similar but for their cultural religious differences. The Czechs, Poles and Hungarians are more Western-inclined as historically Catholic countries, than are the Romanians, Serbs, Bulgarians or Belarusians. It must also be remembered that in many of these areas there have been ethno-religious wars raging, sporadically, between Eastern and Western Christians for centuries - the most recent installment of that was the Yugoslav crisis of the 1990s, but it very well may not be the last.

The third is that on the "fringes" of Eastern Europe (i.e., places like Georgia and Armenia), these issues all play out differently. Demography and geography matter. Georgia and Armenia, although Orthodox, are surrounded by resurgent Islamic countries, and suspicious of Orthodox Russia to the North, which has been an imperial power. As a result, even though there are certain cultural affinities between Armenians, Georgians and Russians in religious terms, the political suspicion (and the hostile ethno-geography in the neighborhood) has led these countries to be far more open to the West than are other Orthodox countries that are much closer, geographically, to the core of the West. Generally speaking, this issue will be a core issue for Europe in the early part of the 21st century. How what was previously a Western European club integrates with European countries that have not, historically, been a part of the West is sure to be a fascinating process to watch and comment upon in the years ahead

Scientific and technological inventions and discoveries

A feature of Western culture is its focus on science and technology, and its ability to generate new processes, materials and material artifacts It was the West that first developed steam power and adapted its use into factories, and for the generation of electrical power.[12] The electrical motor, dynamo, transformer, and electric light, and indeed most of the familiar electrical appliances, were inventions of the West. The Otto and the Diesel internal combustion engines are products whose genesis and early development were in the West. Nuclear power stations are derived from the first atomic pile constructed in Chicago in 1942. Communication devices and systems including the telegraph, the telephone, radio, television, communication and navigation satellites, mobile phone, and the Internet were all invented by Westerners.[13] The pencil, ballpoint pen, CRT, LCD, LED, photograph, photocopier, laser printer, ink jet printer, plasma display screen and world wide web were also invented in the West. 10

Ubiquitous materials including concrete, aluminum, clear glass, synthetic rubber, synthetic diamond and the plastics polyethylene, polypropylene, PVC and polystyrene were invented in the West. Iron and steel ships, bridges and skyscrapers first appeared in the West. Nitrogen fixation and petrochemicals were invented by Westerners. Most of the elements, were discovered and named in the West, as well as the contemporary atomic theories to explain them. The transistor, integrated circuit, memory chip, and computer were all first seen in the West. The ship's chronometer, the screw propeller, the locomotive, bicycle, automobile, and airplane were all invented in the West. Eyeglasses, the telescope, the microscope and electron microscope, all the varieties of chromatography, protein and DNA sequencing, computerized tomography, NMR, x-rays, and light, ultraviolet and infrared spectroscopy, were all first developed and applied in Western laboratories, hospitals and factories. In medicine, vaccination, anesthesia, and all the pure antibiotics were created in the West. The method of preventing Rh disease, the treatment of diabetes, and the germ theory of disease were discovered by Westerners. The eradication of that ancient scourge, smallpox, was led by a Westerner, Donald Henderson. Radiography, Computed tomography, Positron emission tomography and Medical ultrasonography are important diagnostic tools developed in the West. Other important diagnostic tools of clinical chemistry including the methods of spectrophotometry, electrophoresis and immunoassay were first devised by Westerners. So were the stethoscope, electrocardiograph, and the endoscope. Vitamins, hormonal contraception, hormones, insulin, Beta blockers and ACE inhibitors, along with a host of other medically proven drugs were first utilized to treat disease in the West. The double-blind study and evidence-based medicine are critical scientific techniques widely used in the West for medical purposes. In mathematics, calculus, statistics, logic, vector, tensor and complex analysis, group theory and topology were developed by Westerners. In biology, evolution, chromosomes, DNA, genetics and the methods of molecular biology are creatures of the West. In physics, the science of mechanics and quantum mechanics, relativity, thermodynamics, and statistical mechanics were all developed by Westerners. The discoveries and inventions by Westerners in electromagnetism include Coulomb's law (1785), the first battery (1800), the unity of electricity and magnetism (1820), BiotSavart law (1820), Ohm's Law (1827), and the Maxwell's equations (1871). The atom, nucleus, electron, neutron and proton were all unveiled by Westerners. In finance, double entry bookkeeping, the limited liability company, life insurance, and the charge card were all first used in the West. Westerners are also known for their explorations of the globe and space. The first expedition to circumnavigate the Earth (1522) was by Westerners, as well as the first to set foot on the South Pole (1911), and the first human to land on the moon (1969). The landing of robots on Mars (2004) and on an asteroid (2001), and the 11

Voyager explorations of the outer planets (Uranus in 1986 and Neptune in 1989) were all achievements of Westerners.

Pros and Cons of Cultures

PROS:
Western Cultures helps in improvement in technology. It also helps building good mutual understanding in alternative religions. It brings change in the attire of the people. It increases the social responsibilities of individual in the society. It brings a drastic change in the human behaviour.

CONS: The biggest disadvantage of western culture is that we will lose our values towards each person & elders, strong good fundamentals & etc as the influence will rise. It benefits mainly prioritizing the interest of the rich, perverted, sex-maniac and greedy kind of people. 12

These Culture differences also effects glory of the country. It Brings differences in superiority and inferiority people. The main impact of them is people lose their moral values while adopting their cultures.

Suggestions:
It is very unfortunate that todays generation has very little knowledge about their culture, traditions & their roots. This is not their mistake but the mistake of their parents who does not enlighten their children about their roots about their rich cultural heritage. Contradictory to it Parents feel proud in giving the western Sanskaras to their children. Children are brought up in this atmosphere. They are thus kept miles away from Indian culture. There is no harm in giving the knowledge of other cultures and traditions as Indians have made their presence in every part of world and it is very necessary that we should have knowledge of their culture, traditions and their language. We should do but to the limit, which is really needed, and also take care that our new sprouts are well versed with Indian culture and its values. It is the responsibility of parents to inherit the same and for this it is very necessary that parents should also be well versed with Indian culture and traditions.

Conclusion:
No doubt the western culture is versatile and has taught to be selfindependent but this does not mean that we will forget our culture at all and blindly follow it. Since India has the tradition to take good things from others but this does not mean that we will completely forget our values. We should feel proud that we are Indians and we have such a rich cultural heritage which is very rare and should carry this forward and inherit the same to our new blooms who are going to be our future. At the end we conclude this with the note that it is only the women who builds up the nation and all communities and is only person who builds the entire society and who bridges up the gaps in homes and makes the home like an heaven 14

on this earth. I pray to God to give our women all sort of strength, Knowledge, Tolerance and every thing in order to make this world a happier place to live.
