Author of books

Opinion: There are scary things and violence in Sendak as well as the fairy tales of Grimm and Andersen. Sendaks books allow children to face their fears and nightmares. Sendaks books often take the form of quests. The story opens in the real world, but the heroes or heroines soon journey into a strange fantasy place full of weird living things. The characters need to be courage and finally return to where they began. He wanted the children to have a feeling of growing up in his stories.

Stan Lee Fast Facts:

Born Stanley Martin Lieber, he signed his comic work "Stan Lee" because he wanted to save his real name for the great novel he hoped to write. In 1998, he launched Stan Lee Media, which later filed for bankruptcy due to stock manipulation perpetrated by his partner, Peter Paul. Published his autobiography Excelsior! The Amazing Life of Stan Lee in 2002. Has made cameos in many Marvel Comic film adaptations, including The Trial of the Incredible Hulk (1989), Daredevil (2003), Thor (2011), The Avengers (2012) and most of the Iron Man, X-Men and Spider-Man films. Received the 2428th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on January 4, 2011. Creator of the Stan Lee Foundation, which promotes diversity, national literacy, culture and the arts.

Opinion: I think that Stan Lee did a great job because he brings comic world to live with his drawing and writing. He is able to draw attention from children as well as adults to read his comics. He taught children that it's alright to be imaginative and great powers comes great responsibility.

Fun facts: Garfield is a composite of all the cats he remembered from his childhood, rolled into one feisty orange fur ball. Garfield was named after Jim's grandfather, James Garfield Davis. He began his own first strip, GNORM GNAT. After five years of drawing Gnorm, Jim drew a giant foot that fell out of the sky, crushing Gnorm in his last comic appearance. Jim Davis is like Garfield because he likes good food, relaxing and watching television but he is not like Garfield because he likes hard work as well. Opinion: Jim Davis is able to create a character that everyone loves. The cat has the lazy sides of every human. Everyone wants to eat good food especially Asian people likes western food. Now people like to relax a lot and just sit and watch television. Garfield has a lot of products that gives people a chance to be close to the character.

Born

: Oldham Hospital 1962 on a rainy Sunday.

Fun facts: Back home my parents couldnt afford to evict the lodger so he had to sleet in the coal shed with the whippet and with both sisters. To make the rainy days pass he used to draw matchstick men and matchstick cats and dogs on the walls with a piece of coal. Thus began my interest in art. Years later whilst working in the factory my talents were noticed by the top-hatted mill owner who offered to send him away to art school and not forclose on my parents house in return for 33% of any future earnings. While studying for a degree in Manchester, he was called away to an even bigger, dryer city, London, to accept first prize in a drawing competition called the MacMillan Childrens Book Prize, where he had beaten other illustrators from all over the country. He met Posy Simmonds! He had over twenty published books under his belt as well as loads of greetings cards, murals, portraits, community arts, photography, pottery, voluntary work, time travelling and playing guitar and football. Opinion: Not much to search about Andrew Rowland but I find his book very interesting and simple to understand. The pictures are very colourful and lively.
