    Pray through Gods Story (Week 17)

    Focus on God
    God is a great and glorious King. Who is this King of glory? The LORD, strong and mighty, the LORD, mighty in battle! Lift up your heads, O gates! And lift them up, O ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in. Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory! (Psalm 24:8-10) Sing praises and make music to God the King. It is good to give thanks to the LORD, to sing praises to your name, O Most High; to declare your steadfast love in the morning, and your faithfulness by night, to the music of the lute and the harp, to the melody of the lyre. For you, O LORD, have made me glad by your work; at the works of your hands I sing for joy. (Psalm 92:1-4)

    Respond from the Heart


    Ask God to purify your heart. Seek his favor and forgiveness. Who shall ascend the hill of the LORD? And who shall stand in his holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to what is false and does not swear deceitfully. He will receive blessing from the LORD and righteousness from the God of his salvation. Such is the generation of those who seek him, who seek the face of the God of Jacob. (Psalm 24:3-6)

    Seek First the Kingdom


    Pray for other countries and people groups that they, too, will worship God. The earth is the LORD's and the fullness thereof, the world and those who dwell therein, for he has founded it upon the seas and established it upon the rivers. (Psalm 24:1-2) Sing praises to God, sing praises! Sing praises to our King, sing praises! For God is the King of all the earth; sing praises with a psalm! God reigns over the nations; God sits on his holy throne. The princes of the peoples gather as the people of the God of Abraham. For the shields of the earth belong to God; he is highly exalted! (Psalm 47:6-9) Pray that the church will be awakened to a passion to declare Gods glory among the nations. Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples!...Ascribe to the LORD, O families of the peoples, ascribe to the LORD glory and strength! Worship the LORD in the splendor of holiness; tremble before him, all the earth! Say among the nations, The LORD reigns! Yes, the world is established; it shall never be moved; he will judge the peoples with equity. (Psalm 96:3-10)

    Present Your Requests


    Pray that God will supply all your needs physical and spiritual. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the LORD forever. (Psalm 23:1-3, 6)

    Close in Celebration
    Recall Gods past acts of love and faithfulness. Thank him for these. I will sing of the steadfast love of the LORD, forever; with my mouth I will make known your faithfulness to all generations. (Psalm 89:1)
