    Since$being$back$home$in$Bogota,$ The$doctors$eyes$were$wide$when$we$ I$have$continued$with$my$language$ explained$what$had$happened.$$People$ school$(which$is$going$really$well!),$ and$Nathaniel$has$delved$right$back$ dont$normally$survive$that,$she,$and$ into$ministry,$most$recently$ many$others,$told$us.$$People$dont$ normally$wake$up$from$having$their$gas$ preaching$on$the$crowded$and$ stove$accidentally$left$on$high$all$night$ intimidating$bus$system$Vthe$Trans& Millenial.&&In$the$4$hours$he$and$a$ long.$$Especially$children$who$sleep$ right$next$to$the$kitchen.$$And$yet,$there$ Colombian$brother$(Juan$Pablo)$ spent$preaching$on$18$buses,$they$ we$were,$all$four$of$us$ estimate$that$over$ breathing$normally$and$ TransMillenial Bus 1,000$people$heard$ our$blood$work$came$ them,$and$over$175$people$actually$asked$for$ back$clear.$$ one$of$their$Clyers.$$Nathaniel$came$home$full$ Blood gas test of$stories$and$excitement.$$He$has$also$been$ We$had$a$series$of$strange$and$difCicult$events$ working$closely$with$ like$this$one$last$month.$$Nathaniel$was$so$sick$ the$church$here$$ with$a$sinus$infection$that$after$a$week$of$being$ teaching$theology,$ in$bed,$he$Cinally$had$to$go$to$the$ER.$Things$in$ helping$with$VBS,$$ our$apartment$(oven,$hot$water$heater)$started$ worship,$and$ to$break$on$holiday$weekends$when$no$one$ evangelism.$The$ could$repair$them$for$days.$$When$I$was$coming$ leadership$program$ home$from$school$one$day,$I$was$followed$and$ that$he$is$in$is$also$ robbed$at$knifepoint$and$have$struggled$with$ going$very$well$as$he$is$ fear$ever$since.$$Nathaniel$tried$to$buy$a$car$and$ it$turned$out$to$be$a$lemon.$And$then$we$had$the$ Gabriella's 1st trip to Huanta able$to$meet$several$ times$a$week$with$his$ gas$incident.$$But,$even$though$June$was$a$very$ mentor,$pray$almost$every$day$with$ tough$month,$we$could$also$see,$as$the$doctor$put$it,$that$ the$team,$and$spend$time$with$the$ Nathaniel leading at church people$dont$normally$survive$that,$and$yet$here$we$are,$ stronger$than$ever$in$our$faith,$in$our$call$to$missions,$in$our$ team$leader$here.$$We$are$both$ gaining$invaluable$experience$and$ conCidence$that$God$has$us$Cirmly$in$his$hands,$even$when$we$ training$during$our$time$here$in$ are$struggling.$$We$knew$the$mission$Cield$would$be$ Bogota.$$Some$of$it$can$be$difCicult,$but$ challenging,$but$we$didnt$realize$that$ we$know$that$even$the$trials$will$be$ this$also$put$us$in$such$a$wonderful$ used$to$minister$to$us$and$to$others.$$ position$to$be$consistently$prayed$for.$$ We$may$have$been$"under$attack,"$but$ Your$prayers$and$support$make$this$ we$had$an$army$of$warriors$behind$us$ happen.$Thank$you$for$your$ministry$to$ and$our$God$protecting$us.$$ the$people$of$Colombia,$to$the$people$ of$Peru$and$to$us.$ July,$so$far,$has$been$much$better!$$We$ spent$the$Cirst$10$days$in$Peru,$visiting$ Together$for$the$Kingdom, Huanta$and$participating$in$a$special$ Alicia & Gabriella $$$Nathaniel$and$Alicia$Gutierrez In Peru!

    memorial$service$for$Nathaniels$mom.$$Every$time$we$ return$to$Huanta$our$call$to$serve$there$is$strengthened.$ This$time$especially,$Nathaniel$was$able$to$really$plan$for$ how$to$begin$our$new$ministry$there$$hopefully$starting$ early$2013.$

    1. Praise God for His protection over us as a family. 2.Pray for Alicia as she learns Spanish and as she continues to recover from being assaulted. 3. Please pray for all the missionaries who are trying to get down here to serve, and

    pray for missionaries to serve with us in Peru! 4. Please pray for our teammates in Bogota (Bolings, Boxes and Parsons) as some are also going through very tough times! 5.
