Quick Guide to ABB Wireless Note: This is intended to be a reference for techs in the US and CA to setup wireless for

ABB North America.


This document is based on an XP BCE.

1.) Right Click on My Network Places select Properties.

2.) From the Network Connections Window, select the Wireless Adapter,

Right Click and select Properties.

3.) From the Wireless Network Connection Properties window select the Wireless Networks tab, and ensure the checkbox for Use Windows to configure my wireless network settings is checked.

4.) Click Add and type the SSID of A88551D4GL08ALWLan in Network name

(SSID) field.

5.) On the Authentication tab, select the drop down box as shown for 802.1x

authentication. 6.) Select Properties on Protected EAP (PEAP). Select Validate server certificate, select the ABB-WLAN-CA Trusted Root Certification Authority is present and selected, And the Atuthentication Method is MSCHAPv2.

7.) Press Configure and verify . WIRELESS CONFIG IN WINDOWS IS COMPLETE

(Optional Setup for Access connections) Open Access connections. Instructions may vary slightly on different versions.

Click Create

SET the SSID and Select Use Windows to Configure Wireless Network

Click Poperties > Authentication Properties to verify you can see the Windows conf.

CLICK NEXT

Ensure the settings are not being overridden by Access connections.

CLICK Finish
