    HIGH SCHOOL DROPOUT RATE AFFECTING NYC


    Too many students dropped out of high school which had been affecting the United States economics and society. This is especially a problem in large cities such as New York City, which has a rate of 28% in 2011. How can we solve the problem of high school dropout in NYC? The rate of high school dropout had increased dramatically in NYC over the years, this

    problem is caused by many issues.

    *ISSUES*
    - Student become pregnant. -Missing many days of school left behind. -not passing the regents, cause stress.

    -Barely show up in school, if not late.

    STUDENTS BECOME *PREGNANT*


    -The fact is, most student who gets pregnant pregnant and dont graduate from High school.

    -According on (NYCLU) more than 24,000 teenagers aged 19 or younger gave birth in NY in 2001.

    -They are more likely to drop out and not receive their high school diploma

    -According to (Boostup.org) New York has a rate of 28% drop out in 2011. -In order to decrease that number we must create solutions to help solve the problem.

    -Creating small organization/groups to keep students on track on their academic performance.

    *SOLUTION* ORGANIZATION
    -To decrease the rate of pregnant is to creating a day care program, where students can drop their kids and have time attend school again to get their diploma. -Organize by Public Library, mentees meet mentor in Mid-Manhattan public library to make up work, A non profitable organization in 455 fifth avenue Mid-Manhattan (At 40th street New York, NY 10016-0122.

    *SOLUTION* ORGANIZATION
    Bringing in a guest speaker or performer with the students during school days. The program in which will fit in to help is IRC,( International Relation Council) school program.(5 boroughs) of NYC.

    -Actual plan, Organizing meeting where student find solution to their problems and gain support.

    WITH OUIR SOLUTION MORE STUDENT WILL GRADUATE AND HAVE THEIR H.S DIPLOMA
