    Argusville City Council Regular Meeting

    March 5, 2012 Meeting called to order by Gary Tandsater at 7:00 with the following in attendance: David Becker, Scott Leverson, Brandon Oye, Matthew D. Walsvik, Wanda Niess, Marlin Niess, Larry Carlson, Eric Swenson and Mary Howatt. Absent: Wayne Slinger, Randy Teberg. February minutes and financial balance report were approved as read. Motion Leverson Second Becker to pay bills as follows: Cass Electric $525.60, Forum $82.50, Braun Intertec $330, Starion Bonds $94,313, Harwood State Bank $55, Park District $1640.58, Century Link $57.39, Cass Electric $598.09, City of Fargo $14, Cass Rural Water $2500.13, Metro Disposal $2090. Motion carried. Oye presented options for levee crib wall repair/replacement. City will proceed with raising crib wall to full height and will get legal counsel on property buyout. The following motions carried unanimously: To vote yes on the Rush River Water District ballots. To pay $3304.78 for Community Center emergency generator electrical work. To provide Argusville Fire Department funding not to exceed $3500 to purchase snow plow attachment. To approve new web host for one year at $149.67. To pay $16.75 plus tax for fire hydrant extensions for the City of Argusville not to exceed $450. Tandsater updated on elevator and school properties and Community Clean Up project, reported on activity at 308 Drake, and shared traffic concerns with Deputy Swenson. Howatt had questions regarding an unvacated alley at 108 Drake and new home along County Highway 4. Signed Aerial Application with Airborne Custom Spraying and Cass County Vector Control agreement. Election Filing Deadline is 4:00 PM on April 13 for mayor, 2 city council and 3 park board positions. Next meeting is Monday, April 2, 2011 at 7:00 PM. Meeting adjourned at 9:00 PM.
