Life of Sarah, first of the Mothers


Sarah’s life was described in two sets of periods:
The Torah describes her life as 100 years and 20 years and 7 years
The Zohar describes her life as 90 years and 37 years
According to the Zohar, her life consisted of the years prior to the birth of
Yitzchak (90 years) and the years of her life together with Yitzchak (37
years)

1. An important hint to the importance of the birth of Yitzchak (‫ )יצחק‬was


indicated in his name. The second letter indicates the age of Sarah at his
birth the fourth letter indicates the age of Avrohom at this birth. What are
those ages?
