    Pele was born in Brazil to a poor family. Pele started playing football when he was a young boy in 1950. In

    1958, 1962, and 1970 Brazil won the World Cup. Pele was the captain of the team. Pele is the only football

    player to score more than 1000 gaols. In 1999 the National Olympic Committees voted Pele the number one

    sportsman of the 20th century.

    Rowling was born in England. Joanne Rowling started writing stories when she was six years old. In 1993,

    she went to live in Scotland. She wrote her first book about Harry Potter in Scotland. It took her 4 years

    to write the book. In 1997 her first book, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, was in the shops. The

    book was very popular. Many children read the book. Today Rowling is a millionaire.
