ATS in auto mode Standby Gen in auto

BLACKOUT

Emergency Generator starts in the next 5 secs

After EM-GEN starts, Q1 breaker (MAINS) open and Q2 breaker (Generator side) close in ATS , feeding the Emergency Switchgear
Once we get power in the Emergency Switchgear, we have power available in the Utility MCC room to initiate the black start
In the Utility MCC we have to check availability of power to the followings loads associated to the turbine to be started: Battery Charger, Fans 1 & 2, Lube Oil Cooler, Starting Motor, Pre-Post Lube-Oil Cooler Motor, Fin-Fan Cooler.

Standby generator will be running for 5 minutes more in cool down mode until it stops and stands available again

When The ATS detects power from the main source, after 2 seconds, it will initiate the transfer from the Emergency Generator to the main source opening Q2 breaker and closing Q1 breaker in the ATS doing the restoration to the main source finishing the process.

After we start the generator in the turbine and get power from the main source, the respective incomer breaker in AREVA Panel will close energizing this panel (6.6kV) and at the same time the power transformers and LV MCC.

After this checking, we have to follow the start-up procedure described on page 3.9 in the Solar Systems Operators Guide Volume 1.
