NEEDS

The Gujarat Water Supply & Sewerage Board is a Government of Gujarat owned Statutory Board engaged in providing Water supply and Sewerage facilities in the state of Gujarat. The Board requires the following Senior and Middle Level Technical Personnel. Sr. No. 1 Name of Post Executive Engineer(Civil) Class-I No.of Post 09 Pay Scale Age Not more than 28 years. Preference will be given to the candidates having relevant experience.

Assistant Engineer 25 ( Mech)

Note: (1) If suitable female candidates are not available, the posts reserved for female candidates will be filled in by male candidates. The definition of "suitable female candidate " will be decided by the selection committee. (2) 3% of posts will be reserved for the physically disabled candidates in the cadre of Assistant Engineer (Civil) as per Government rules.

Age relaxation : (a) The upper age limit may be relaxed in favour of a candidates who are already in the service of the Gujarat Water Supply & Sewerage Board in accordance with the provision of the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules 1967 as amended from time to time. (b) Age limit in case of S.C/S.T/S.E.B.C/Physically disabled and female candidates shall be relaxed as per rules. For post no-1 & 2:(Probation & Pay Scale) The candidates appointed by direct selection, shall be on probation for two years. On satisfactory completion of first year of probation period, candidates shall be posted in charge of sub division as per rules. Again, they will be posted in charge of sub division for further two years for practical experience. During the period of probation and period of appointment in a sub division, as provided in this rules, the candidate shall be designated as Assistant Executive Engineer in pay scale of 9300-34800 Grade pay 5400.On completion of four years service as per this rules, the candidate shall be posted to work as Executive Engineer (Civil/Mechanical) in regular pay scale of Rs.15600-39100 with grade pay of Rs.6600/- as the case may be. For All A candidate selected and appointed for above positions will be required to pass the Course on Computer Concepts (CCC+) of Department of Electronic Accreditation of Computer Courses(DOEACC) Society or equivalent as may be prescribed by Government/Board from time to time through ITIs , Sardar Patel Institute of Public Administration (SPIPA) or any other institute recognized by Government of Gujarat.

Candidates appearing in the final year of degree course are also eligible for applying for the post of Assistant Engineer (Civil/Mechanical), but final results will be required to be submitted before screening test/interview. The candidates belonging to S.E.B.C. category should submit the "Non-Creamy Layer" certificate in the form of " Parishistha K" as prescribed by Govt. Resolution dtd.6/2/1996 issued by Social Justice and Empowerment Department, Government of Gujarat .The certificate should be for the financial year 2010-11 and should have been issued after 1/4/2011. Candidate employed in Government/Public Sector/Joint Sector Organization must send their application through proper channel. However, the advance copy may be sent directly to GWSSB.
