Dear Parents
You will be receiving your childs end of term report this afternoon which I hope you will find useful. Please do contact the class teacher should you want to discuss this further. You will also find out which class your child will be in next year. We are having another swap around next year and the classes for September will be; Cherry Foundation Stage and Year 1 with Mrs Clements Maple Years 2 and 3 with Mrs Cookson Ginkgo Years 3 and 4 with Ms Hill Oak Year 5 with Mrs Wargent Willow Year 6 with Mr Cornish Once again the classes will move to give the slightly larger classes a bit more space! As during this year, teaching assistants will be working across the school to support various groups of children. Mrs Watt will be based in Cherry Class to support our youngest children. Next week on Thursday 14th July children will have their shuffle up day when they will spend the day with their new teacher and classmates. We will also be welcoming the new Foundation Stage and year 3 children from St Peters. Next week will be our end of year performances; Cherry class and KS1 will be singing their review of the year on Wednesday morning at 9am and KS2 will be sharing their Humorous Histories on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings at 6.30pm. Please do contact the school office if you require a ticket.

We have been advised by Food with Thought that with effect from the 1 st September 2011 that the cost of a primary school meal will increase by 5p to 2.10 per meal.

A big THANK YOU to our footsteps volunteers


Lately on Thursday afternoons Cherry Class and the Year 2 children in Maple Class have had 3 lovely ladies come in to school to implement the Footsteps programme. This is an Oxfordshire County Council child pedestrian programme that all children in Foundation Stage and KS1 take part. The children have learnt: Safe practices, stop, look and listen. Crossing Be safe be seen Vehicle light and parked cars Fast and slow Pedestrian crossings and road signs The children and staff in Cherry and Maple would like to say a very big THANK YOU Mrs Brindle, Mrs Cross Mrs Cutmore and Mrs MacDonald for giving up their time for us.

PRESBY A/ GHANA UPDATE


Annabel Skidmore (Y5, Oak class) ran her own jewellery stall at our Festival on The Field. Her jewellery was a big success and she sold all the items she had made! Annabel has very kindly handed me an envelope containing 32.75, which is half of her takings from Saturday. She wants the money to go to help our link school in Ghana, Presby A Primary. I would like to say a huge thank you to Annabel for her hard work and kind hearted gesture. I know that Presby A very grateful for her compassion too. Carol Phillips Deputy Headteacher

COTSWOLD VOICES This popular local choir based at St Christophers will be performing at All Saints Church, Faringdon at 3pm on Sunday 10th July 2011 as part of the Faringdon Arts Festival.

Circus Stars is coming to a library near you from 9th July until 17th September 2011. Ask at your local library and youll be given your own membership card and 3D Circus Stars stage, along with further details, and lots of other activities. Check out the website for further details:-

At the Burford Partnership Annual Swimming Gala on Monday, there were lots of races. Out of 30 races we won 23 of them and we came 2 nd in 4 of them, 3rd in 2 races and 4th in 1 race. But best of all we came 1st for the 5th time running and we all enjoyed it !!!! Joe Turberville & Lee Hird
