Belt Weigher Mechanical Features Benefits
UK designed and manufactured. Robust fixed beam bolted between the stringers creating a rigid mounting for the loadcell. The weighing idler beam is carried by a double set of spring steel flexures ensuring that weight is transferred correctly into the loadcell. The weight transfer into the loadcell is via a load-button. The load-button height is adjustable. These features assist in installation where the conveyor structure may not be straight and true. The flexures are protected from spillage and damage by being located under the carrying belt. The loadcell is manufactured in stainless steel to IP68 protection. The loadcell is protected from damage by being located between the carrying and return belt. The mechanical arrangement ensures that a weight of 1 part in 10000 of the loadcell capacity can readily be detected over the complete weighed beam length. This feature is important if the belt is liable to wander or is unevenly loaded across the belt width. The feature above allows us to oversize the loadcell thus giving a high degree of overload protection. The speed detection wheel is supported by an arm which is located of the middle of the fixed beam offering the maximum protection against spillage. Mounted of a gravity arm and resting on the inside of the return belt the arrangement ensures that the wheel is not damaged by any mechanical belt fasteners. The speed detection probe is fully sealed to IP67and encased in stainless steel.
