MEASURES AND BENEFITS AT PRIVATE


AND PUBLIC SECTOR COMPANIES
 
OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY
 To know the awareness of welfare facilities of employees.

 To know the effect of feedback given by supervisors, peers and


other

 To know if the welfare practices are identified and duly


responded to motivate them.

 To know if the practices of private sectors be implemented in


public sectors and what should be considered for
implementation.
RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

 TYPE OF THE RESEARCH : Descriptive

 SAMPLE UNIT : Employees of FCI & ALSTOM

 SAMPLING SIZE: 60 respondents (30 each)

COMPANY PROFILE
 Food Corporation of India
 Established in 1964 by the Act of the Parliament

 Entrusted with the task of maintaining National food security


FINDINGS
 Employees are satisfied to some extent with the welfare activities provided to
them.

 Voluntary benefits are provided in both the companies

 More consideration for job satisfaction for remaining in the job in both the
sectors.

 Opportunity for career advancement.

 No proper performance appraisal system.

 No proper compensation system


CONCLUSION
 
 Both public sector and private sector companies are
providing all the facilities to their employees. Even
though the companies is producing such good benefits,
some of the employees not aware of what the benefits
the company is providing or in some cues the employees
are not upgrading themselves with least zeal and
enthusiasm about the available surrounding.
RECOMMENDATIONS
 
 The performance appraisal techniques have to be revised

 The promotion schemes are to be more performance based

 Both the sectors have to conduct career development programmes in its


premises

 Recreational facilities of organizations have to be given much more


importance

 Strict vigilance has to be there on the employees on the utilization of the


welfare measure
